It's kind of like back in the day, Cheno stating he didn't know rap/metal was like that of "Nookie" from Limp Bizkit and he doesn't consider Deftones style nothing of that sort. Yeah right. Anyway, I like them both. Regardless that Sevendust and Coal Chamber were rivalries I like them both. Yada Yada Yada.

I'm not exactly sure if Slipknot = Rap-core ( i was thinking maybe (Hed) Pe and Crazytown)...Slipknot is just a more aggressive variation on the nu-metal thing....
Theres probably more talent running through there too vs an act like Korn or POD, Jordison is an excellent drummer and If memory serves the principal song writter. But the lyrics are spotty at best and they have a problem with sounding kind of samey.

Hey Seyes, I didn't know about "Look at me"...or "look away", whatever it is, but can you please show me where I can listen to it??? To be honest, even though the QOTD movie didn't stick with the book by Anne Rice, it was still a good movie...That movie being the one where Jonathan Davis wrote the score for it as well as did the songs for the soundtrack with Richard Gibbs...And I enjoy the songs on the soubdtrack that Jon wrote, and that was before I found out that Jon was the one who did them, I bought the soundtrack as well as the movie score and it read that it was all done by Jon and Richard Gibbs...But sadly due to contract bullsh**, Jon couldn't do the songs on the soundtrack but he was the voice of Lestat in concert...And since he couldn't do the songs on the soundtrack, he ended up gettin Static-X, Disturbed, Linkin Park, and Manson to do his songs...But Jon and the rest of Korn did the songs on the Family Values Tour...I still have yet to hear the songs as done by Korn...As well as this "lost QOTD song" with Knot and Korn...

I don't know I guess it has a lot to do with me being black, however having a multiracial background that includes Irish & Cherokee. So I read what you guys have to post about Korn (and the likes) but I don't let it effect my id, ego or superego because when I get in the mood to write something new I write how I feel or what's on my mind (not what someone else wants on my mind or want me to feel). For you to get a grasp on my style, you would have to be completely optimistic and enter without prejudice and that's one of the reasons my group is called Unsettled Kontent. Azazel_Begotten, u're cool with me and all but what's up with listing me as a candidate in the matchmaking for FLA. First and foremost, the individual would have to be at least 18 and with an IQ much greater than what he's presented in MU. Anyways, I think the habitual posting of those same 13 questions are becoming quite repetitive and somewhat ridiculous. Yes, it would be nice for him to answer them. However, he has made it perfectly clear (tacitly, may I add) that he's not going to answer the questions. The closest you're going to get is "you imbecile" or "korn aka krap sucks." If you really wanted him to reply, you should have approached with a camoflauged strategy. Like lowering yourself to his standard and pretending to dislike Korn. Apologizing to him for not listening to him earlier to realize "they are krap" and "sellouts" or "fakes." Even portraying to be an ally of his and then slip the questions on him one at a time... while you compile your data and/or a full fledge investigation. After collecting all the data necessary, return explaining your strategy to us and then a full report of the dialogue. However, I think it's too late to try something like that now because he's avoiding you like a plague; esp. since you said I got him bent over in submission. All I'm saying is let's move on to better things and leave Mr. Wawawawa alone until he think he's recouperated. After-all, remember every now and then he fades away from the threads but like a devoted Korn fan... he can't stay away eternally. That' is unless deathbringer has upset him that much by not taking sides with him.

Women in metal is something thats going to be an issue for another generation or two but ever so slowly it's beginning to not matter.....Some girls can scream as impressively as Halford, shriek with more menace than Howard Jones or Jesse Leech and sing on par with Maynard Keenan or bellow like Glen Benton....It can and does happen....
Yeah, Otep and Kittie pretty much suck but not as much as Cycle Sluts from Hell or Lita Ford. I think in another 10 years things will be differnt for girls/women....and there will be better female fronted bands. Lacuna Coil, Draconian, Arch Enemy among others are the pioneers.
They're still on little record labels touring in vans the size of my Plymouth but they are out there and one day a girl fronting a metal band won't even raise eyebrows....unless they're hot like Lisa Marx or Cristina Scabbia.

Being the odd man out like Blackdog said is another thing....( I was a skater kid in a mostly redneck highschool...I liked metal...weirdly, they liked country and hip-hop....I watched anime and went rock climbing....they chased scared animals through the woods with shotguns....)
but amid the a$$holes I found a cute girlfriend and a half dozen close friends some of whom I still hang out with today.
I accomplished very little by hating the rednecks, but I focused on the positive things in my life, got through college and have two part time jobs at a Vet and a hospital. I have a nice apartment, I gleefully live in sin with my gf in a mostly conservative city, have a decent car etc.......
Point is stop focusing on hating Korn so much and find something you LIKE, WANT or NEED instead....
You'll find that life gets better after that.....Am I repeating myself?...I think I may have said something like this already....meh.

I'm no different than you 616. Just a random post-person. I have no control over this site but little to complain about in regards to what this site considers news worthy.....and I think Mudvayne are pretty impressive really, not the best but unique and intense.
I think the poppy-semi-metal and the underground real deal and all things between deserve press whether I like bands like Dillinger Escape Plan, Pig Destroyer, SYL, Opeth or if I was 14 and in to Korn, Metallica and Linkin Park.
And while Korn do indeed suck, once upon a time they were the Lamb of God of their era.

Okay, here's something on subject... I'm very much into KoRn. I'm into MuDvAyNe and I like 10 YeArS. I would like to go to the show playing nearest me... I guess I'll have to see since it's on Mon., Mar. 20th. I generally like shows that are on Fri. or Sat. because they don't conflict with me getting up for work. Also, it would've been nicer if a date on maybe the 18th could be slated for them to play Tampa, St. Pete or Clearwater. Anyways, we'll see... Thanx-4-the-compliment, Azazel_Begotten. I'll take that bet!
I f***ing hate Korn, they're latest material makes their early work seem epic and profound....but, theres alot of money and hype behind Korn and sales-wise they're doing "alright" with they're new slab of horse sh**...in comparison to their last two new studio albums.
I personally want to lose this bet because Korn shat out their last decent song in 1998, and their last decent album in 1996......but I think they're going to make one more (rock-bottom)album since they were picked up by Virgin and have this huge new industry $ model contract to support.
God I hate it when people freak out so much when a band changes there sound a little bit, like my favourite band, System Of A Down, some people hate them because they changed so much. I still like them I just think for there next CD they should go back to their older sound. And what is it with all of these Korn haters, are you all jealous that you're never going to be a rich celebrety married to a porn star, like Jonathan Davis, huh. Get a life, jealous d*** heads.

LORD AGONY=fa**ot, its cool, we all lose our cool, but Agony really isn't worth it...And As a fan of Korn, I even say The Other Side is a real disappointment, but I think their peak was Untouchables...And I wanna see them get better, and NOT sellout like they have...But to make money in the game, you have to make compromise, and making compromise means, letting producers put more into it...Which sucks, cuz Korn doesn't sound like Korn anymore sadly...Unless they decide to do their own stuff again, they will fail...But we have yet to see Head's solo album as well, lets see who does worse/better....

Yeah, Azazel_Begotten, I'm a Korn fan too but I don't have all of the CDs yet. I think See You On The Other Side is a great album but it's just not as heavy as I expected it to be, like Take A Look In The Mirror was. From now on I'm not gonna waste comments on dissing Lord Agony anymore, that loser's not worth my time. I might go to the concert in Toronto, I live pretty close to there. Peace!

Hmmmm, PICKIN ON YOu....I don't know what to say on that...I'm sure Agony is a closet homosexual. But I have nothing against homosexuality, nor do I have anything against his affiliates...Ensemble and slayerdisciple are pretty cool...
LA=fa**ot, their self-titled debut was raw. Life Is peachy was Raw, but well done. Follow the Leader wasn't as raw, but I was well done. And Issues was great, though Unouchables was greater. Issues was the last stand between Jon and his demons. Like Issues was the last album where he exorcised his demons. Untouchables was hard, but if had lots of emotional sh** behind it. TALITM was Just HARD! I mean, They sounded like Death Metal/Heavy Metal in that album. SYOTOS was not really hard, I don't like it too much...
I don't think Take A Look In The Mirror was death metal I just think think it was very heavy, but See You On The Other Side was just hard rock, not really metal at all. I think Jonathon could have used his vocals in different ways on see you on the other side, but it was a good album. There's still gonna be a few more albums done by Korn though cause there's a Greatest Hits Vol. 1 with all of the singles from Korn to Take a look in the mirror, so there has to be more.

Many times I've claimed an admiration for both the material and the innovation of Korns first two offerings.
Korn reinvented the wheel just as Metallica, Death, Venom, Slayer and others have. This by no means makes Korn great, but they will be remembered as more than a footnote and in higher esteem than acts like Poison, Motley Crue and other hair/glam metal laughingstocks.
TALTM was not death metal like, but there was some pretty impressive instrumental aggression on that...the lyrics really suck though.
What Korn are now is something altogether unrelated to where they started and I want no part of it. They've become something that will thrive in these times vs something that thrived in the 90's and turn of the century.
It is more pop and less angry.
It is radio friendly and the errie minimal vibe Korn cultivated on their first album has been forgotten by the band completely....
The Korn of 1994 would probably flinch at the sound of the music the band makes now but this evidence of how people change over time and Korn are living proof of that phenomenon.
Well said RememberMetal?. I kind of agree that the lyrics on TALITM sucked. It's a good album and it's kind of a return of their old sound, and then Head leaves and the band goes in a whole other direction. I have TALITM and SYOTOS and they are very different. But then again the music I listen to are different from each other, like System Of A Down, Mudvayne and Korn are pretty much my favourite bands. System Of A Down: alot of people refer to them as metal but I disagree, Mudvayne: apparently they're alternative metal, but I think they're just heavy metal, and Korn: always been nu/heavy metal.

Usually when there's a tour with bands that I don't like I don't b**** about it and...uh, what was that other thing I do...oh yeah, I DON'T f***ING GO!!! I sure loved KoRn with Jon was confronting all his demons, however I accepted the fact the only thing I'd find behind the last track on Issues was static, unlike the previous albums. The static was significant to his issues that kept him bound as a child. However, understand that Jon has not completely dealt with these things... it's just that there were other things thrown at him last year. As he thought he understood the Head, we were all awaken to his falsehood, a switch to another label and all the other bullsh*t politics that encompasses our lives. Nontheless, I was with them when they were at the top of their game and I'll be there when they're down and out. I ain't like no motherf#cking Peter, when he betrayed Jesus and for all who recall me saying the only song I don't really like on SYOTOS is, "Throw Me Away" well it's become one of my most favorite from this CD as I'm constantly finding myself singing it now!!! I can imagine that's what Jon thinks of his one-time followers that turned out to only like KoRn because they was, what was hot or "the next big thing."
Korrrnn, Lord Agony does really like Korn, I made a big paragraph about it on the "Korn to test new business model" story. And Me@t-C@ke, I don't even want to know what meatspin.com is, but yeah Korn haters should be punished for hating Korn by going to sick websites.

I sure loved KoRn when Jon was confronting all his demons, however I accepted the fact the only thing I'd find behind the last track on Issues was static, unlike the previous albums. The static was significant to his issues that kept him bound as a child. However, understand that Jon has not completely dealt with these things... it's just that there were other things thrown at him last year. As he thought he understood the Head, we were all awaken to his falsehood, a switch to another label and all the other bullsh*t politics that encompasses our lives. Nontheless, I was with them when they were at the top of their game and I'll be there when they're down and out. I ain't like no motherf#cking Peter, when he betrayed/denied Jesus and for all who recall me saying the only song I don't really like on SYOTOS is, "Throw Me Away" well it's become one of my most favorite from this CD as I'm constantly finding myself singing it now!!! I can imagine that's what Jon thinks of his one-time followers that turned out to only like KoRn because they was, what was hot or "the next big thing."

I'm sick of these little speeches of why Korn is "krap" and I'm p***ed now. Saying Korn sucks is an opinion but you're all saying don't listen to it. If every time someone said a band or a singer sucked then there would be no music for anyone to listen to, so just learn to live with the fact that some people like Korn and some people don't. Just like I hate Simple Plan, but I don't go around trying to get people to stop listening to them. And it doesn't even bug me that people like them, it would just bug me if I had to listen to them. No one is forcing you to listen to Korn, so why are you complaining about them so much. To post 321 War Ensemble, yeah, I think I just liked Frozen In Time so much because it sounded just like it came out of the early 90s death metal period. I call roadrunner sellouts because at one time they had Pestilence, Cynic, Atheist, Deicide, Death, Obituary, Sepultura etc with them, and now?
BTW B-rad , not everything I listen to is death metal, I'd say about 50% thrash. As I said before I thought some parts of End Of All Things To Come were pretty stellar, but let down by World So Cold etc moments.

The End Of All Things To Come is awesome, but you can't expect a metal band to never have a slower softer song. World So Cold is awesome too, Chad Gray has an amazing voice and if he went solo he would be very successful. I don't have a problem with death metal I just like a little melody in my music, that's all.

For all melodic death fans I recommend a New Zealand band called 8 Foot Sativa. Listen to the song Destined To Be Dead, you will not regret it.
At The Gates is the only Gothenburg band that I like. And even they resorted to more mainstream stuff on SotS.
Want to know how to play swedish metal?? Alternate between root notes E and C (a minor 3rd) and pick other notes in Em while doing it. Repeat until album is finished.

I think they're just okay but they are NOT the Kings of metal, come one they barely qualify as metal anymore. So think before you say things, I think some MIST might have seaped into you're head.

I agree that Black Sabbath was the first metal album, but Led Zeppelin is not metal. They qualify as hard rock. And just let people like Korn, it's not affecting the way you live so deal with it and move on. I don't even like classic rock/metal that much. The songs are too predictable, you always know there's gonna be a 2 minute long guitar solo in every song. And most classic rock bands sing about rock music, which is very annoying to me. The only classic rock band I would listen too is either Guns N' Roses or Metallica. And Metallica took metal to a whole other level, that's why I respect them.

Yes Mist you sound like a pro-Korn LordAgony.....402, 403, 404 and 406 are all yours....A very Lordagony trademark.
Korn are probably alot softer than most of what I listen to. I'm a big fan of Pig Destroyer, Converge, Isis, Opeth, NIN, Tool, Porcupine Tree, Strapping Young Lad and Dillinger Escape Plan.....All of whom are better than Korn and indeed heavier...
Korn are not the Elvis of metal unless by that you mean they're depressed and overweight (Davis and Fieldy anyway).
You could probably get away with calling Korn mildly innovative like Nirvana (Nirvana had much better lyrics than Korn, but roughly equal instrumental skill In my opinion) were to alternative....
Korn didn't reinvent the wheel but they did tinker with it....Lots and lots of bands followed their example....It's just that most of them suck....And Korn WERE "decent"....
Emphasis on WERE and "decent"....Also my opinion.... but for a fact, the enraged from-the-gut vocals are gone....The errie minimalism has been replaced with ultra-radio friendly "Y'all wanna single" childishness and what made them unique has become an exhausted trend of the late 90's....
Korn suck Hog anus now, and they were never great to begin with.

Listen to "Wish", "March of the Pigs", "The Day the World Went Away" "Starf***ers Inc" "Mr Self Destruct"....Then compare to "Twisted Transter" "Y'all Wanna Single" and....heh.... "The Wall" and "Word Up".......

And if you think NIN are the weak link in my case listen to Pig Destroyer, Opeth, Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge or Strapping Young Lad....No Korn song has ever laid a finger on those bands in terms of speed aggrssion or instrumental and vocal intensity.

I have heard Strapping Young Lad, and they are heavier than Korn, I agree with that. I was just saying I don't like NIN I just don't like the new stuff, that's all I'm saying, I was comparing their new music with Korn. The only time I actually watch a music channel is when they play SOAD or Mudvayne, which is hardly ever cause they're too busy playing the extremely popular sh** that everyone likes, and it's just a fad. I would once like them to say we have a video request for Mudvayne........that would be a shock! It's always like "I wanna see 50 cent" or "Can you play Fall Out Boy, or Simple Plan", it's always the same crap over and over again.

Yeah, the videos played today are on par with the worst music played at the height of the 80's hair metal thing.....Same sh** just a differnt face today.....Gold teeth and bling instead of big hair and Tawni Kitaen.
I just don't think Korn are heavy by any standards and any sign of heavy, dark or sincere took flight at somepoint around the "Issues" album....

I have told you directly to not communciate with her. Your father told me directly that he would stop your comminication with her. NONE of this has happened.
This is the last time I'll say something. DO NOT RIDE TO HER BUS STOP, use your own(I've seen you walking back home); DO NOT MEET HER AT HER LOCKER; DO NOT COMMUNCATE WITH STEFANIE. Receiving this email, I am appalled at your actions. Of course punishments are not going to work. Think of why you are punishing her, and me indirectly. You are only punishing her for being with me AT ALL. The only reason you keep us from being together is because you never liked me [or any boy] from the start. You were waiting for a somewhat GOOD reason to say that we couldn't be. And due to a MISUNDERSTANDING, you found one. And I sent you a letter, stating that all it was, was a misunderstanding. But NO, you did not reply or even call my father back, though you have his cell phone number.
Could you at least try and consider letting us be? Have you ever considered just letting us be? If you wanted you could even be there with us if you want to make sure of what goes on.
And I understand that you are a parent that loves and cares for his children, but this is beyond an INJUSTICE. Think of what you have said. You talking about "putting a stop" to it, like I'm some kind of criminal committing heinous acts. We are just together, we're not committing any crimes, we are doing NOTHING WRONG. And the ONLY REASON "she's gotten into more trouble" being with me is because you GET HER IN TOUBLE for being with me, it is NOT ME myself that causes her any trouble.
With all due respect, that is SELFISH and IMMATURE. And yes you have punished her for being with me. But punishment after punishment will solve NOTHING. Eventually she will have to be on her own, and how can she if EVERYTHING she does NOW hangs on whether or not YOU SAY SO? That is not INDEPENDENCE. And how do you expect Stefanie to be independent as an adult when she never had the responsibilities of independence now? You never really gave me or US a chance. When you first met me, the first thing you said was, "So, you're the boy that calls my daughter at night." I spoke to you, you tried to cut the conversation short. You almost seemed determined to leave at once before at least getting to know me, because you were just so sure in your mind that I was NO GOOD. We would talk on the phone until late. But then you told her to cut the time we could talk from 11 to 10 to 9:30 to 9:00pm. When you let her see me at the movies, you wanted us to get 5 friends with her and me. Then when we had gotten the 5 friends, as soon as you picked her up you told her, she couldn't go to Reston Town Center for a month? You could've just decided to let us be, but you did not. You could've given me a chance, but you did not. Then Stefanie lost her sweater that fateless day and I tried to help her find it, which lead us to a misunderstanding with school authority as we both left a room. That of course became your 'cue' to say and try and put everything negative into that one incident. Look back on everything you have done to keep us apart, think of everything you have told her in reference to me. Most of the things you tell her to support your argument that this is "not being a positive relationship", even going as far as saying I'm not "good for her [at all]" isn't even supported by actual fact. I have done NOTHING to cause this jilted vision of me and US in your eyes. All you have done was cut away and away still, until finally we have nothing left but school and internet, and you're trying to take that away. Just think about everything you said and done to keep us from being at all. And we still saw each other. And no amount of control is going to make her respect you anymore than she already does. You cannot control every move she makes, with me or another person, regardless of how often you punish her. And I say this to you, if you consider nothing else I have said in this e-mail, think of this: The more you try to control her now, the more she will decide to go against you and if not that, the more she will resent you later on...

Now everything that happened with me and Stefanie, its a combination of emails and what happend leading to him finding my email and him punishing her, etc....Just read on...
First off, I worried myself sick and I have not slept...But to update, he got her principal to get in on it, because she's "interested" in him. So now if she sees me and her together, she calls her dad, and he punishes her. But lets go back to yesterday.
She IMed me to tell me she was upset at him for "what he did". So I lost it, and she wouldn't tell me what he did until she would tell me face to face. And all day sunday, I worried myself sick, and I did not sleep. So when I saw her yesterday morning for the last time, she told me what he did, and all he did was beat her with a belt for being with me. Its still f*cked up, but I'm glad it wasn't what I feared the most...But now we can't see each other, because he got her principal to help, and this morning in class, I got a missed call from a "no Number"...I should have the number tomorrow. And now, on with the emails...

At first I was worried he did worse than whipping (Which BTW, is bullpoo as a teen, cuz look at me. I'm into the BDSM stuff), so if my parents whipped me, that would weird me out. But then again, they stopped when they found out I liked that kinda stuff...
I digress, hwo she told me yesterday morning worried me...This is how she said it...
"He found out I was emailing you. And I was in my room, when I heard him coming upstairs...He yelled at me about how I was getting into trouble for being with you, and I said that the only reason I was getting in trouble was because he made it so I got in trouble for being with you...Then he took off his belt and told me to grab my ankles..."
(This is where I feared the worst, remember, I got no sleep worriying about what she had to tell me face-to-face what he did...And My only thought was "I'm gonna kill him!" because of how she said it...She said "He took off his belt" and "Bend over and grab your ankles" in the same sentence...So I feared the worst, because we know there are only so many ways that could've turned out...It could've been whipping--which thankfully it was--or the WORST of the two...And My only thought was "I'm gonna kill him")

Thats the whole thing...I'm just p***ed off right now...And afterward I just kept asking her "Is the beating ALL HE DID?" Because I worried about that, and she said no...But I'm still worried about just him being the d*** that he is.

Her mom left her dad because he beat her...And ever since, he's been hellbent to f*ck her over financially and legally, so He whittled it down to Part custody for her...Now he wants to take that away...the beating he gave Stefanie will hopefully not go ignored, plus she has to testify at trial about witnessing her dad beat her mom...The fear is what happens if they come back home with him after she and her sister testify...I'm hoping this sh*t goin on will get her mom Full custody but it may not work...I still hope...I hate him...On top of that I've been telling every authority that will listen about what he's been doing in reference to me, my principal, my teachers read a copy of the email he sent, and my accounts of his "driving past me too much"...They're on my side...But since he's only the borderline of illegal, I can do nothing until a legitimate law is broken or until I get more resources...I still have to find out what number that was that went on my cell as "No Number"...I know its him...I'm stressed..I'm tired, and all we have is our friends passing our notes to each other...I kept her note today...I wish I could make out everything she wrote, but I cherish it like Holy scripture...I'm hurt...
My dad called her dad to say we were gonna talk, the 5 of us...Me, Stefanie, her dad, and my parents, and he is always late anyway with things like "something Carlos is involved with"...But he never showed up, then my dad called to reset the meet to tomorrow...I fear that he wouldn't go because he asked her whether or not she still wanted to be with me, and I think she said yes, and probably wouldn't go until she said she was to say NO...That is my fear, but I won't know what happend today, or tomorrow...I pray that he didn't beat her again for just wanting to be with me...But I'm scared he did...I've done everything in my power without killing him...

Azazel, this is an e-pal of yours. However, I'm chosing to incognito for the moment as in part of trying to break away from "my everyday posting habits I normally have."
Anyway, here I am (twice-your-age) reading what you've disclosed and it makes me sick to my stomach for what her dad's doing to her. I wish "overprotecting parents" knew the everlasting imprint they're placing in their children's head. I remember when I was that age and had a similar thing going on, however it did have some negative endings in so many ways. In the "James & Tiffany relationship circa 1990," her dad's (stepdad) issue was her seeing a black guy. Eventually he betrayed me like the kiss of Judas. Tiffany, her two sisters (Amber & Amanda), her mom (Robin) and her cousins (Tia & Brandi) were all over at Carol's house (this lady who lived behind me). Carol's is mostly where we met, except at night when I would sneak out to go see her. Anyway, this particular day he came over Carol's and he gave me this heartfelt story of how he's done everything in his power to make his daughter stop seeing me and nothing has worked. "All of my girl's tell me... just how nice and sweet you are." So I decided to give you a chance and trust my daughter's decision. To keep the story concise... during this time, I seen Tiffany come to the door and she shook her head "no." Later to explain, "don't believe the sh** he's telling you." I even tried to get her to see how her dad was actually changing his ways. Hell he even took a bandana right out the packaging and told me to wipe the sweat off my stomach and chest and that day it was like 100 and something degrees here in Brooksville/Spring Hill, FL. Anyways I did it and he took the same bandana drenched with my sweat and wiped his face and told me "as long as I treat his daughter right I'm his son." Days later as we got to know each other better, he offered me a bear (to which I don't drink) and he went on about his apologies of why he didn't like me at first (in his words), "when I was in prison there was so much racial tension in there that it was unheard of blacks and whites getting along and I gained so much hatred for blacks in general but seeing you with my daughter has helped me to understand there's a difference between being black and being a n*****..." of course everyone here is familiar with the rest of that line. At one point, he even tried to question Tiffany and I sexual relationship (which at the time, there was no copulation... she was a virgin and I respected that). Anyway a couple of month's later, they had to move down to Tia & Brandi's house and save up a bit for they can move to South Carolina. This was c. Sept. '91. Well, Tiffany had promised as soon as they settled in, she would write me and of course her mom had promised her sister, she would contact her. Everyday, I would wake nearly 3 miles to hang out with Brandi & Tia because Tiffany promised as soon as she turns 18 she's coming back to Florida to be with me. Well months later, nothing was heard from them at all and Barbara (Tiffany's aunt) called me in her room and told me, it don't surprise her that her sister would forget to contact her. However, Tiffany should have contacted you by now. Well eventually contact was made to Aunt Barbara and they ended up in Heinsville, GA. Tiff started writing me and we write each other like 3x a week (sometimes more) and then one day the writing stopped and none of us knew where they were. Eventually Barbara reached a called from Robin stating what Tiffany and Amber said David had been doing to them. At first, Tiffany didn't want to tell me because of shame and plus she knew what had happened to me as a little boy. However, Barbara was able to go get Tiffany for a few months and she thought that her seeing me would help her to get better but at that point she didn't want a relationship and things went sour and then I began acting up which led me to going to JDC (Juvenile Detention Center), which they turned me over to state... so I ended up in prison for a long long time.
So like you Azazel I thought the worst had happened and I actually felt tears rushing to my eyes. I hope nothing like that ever occurs. But for you, I say that maybe you and her can somehow find it possible to cut if off for a few months until she turns 18 and then she gets on her own and daddy has no say-so in her life. Don't allow your love and stubborness cause a negative reaction. Sometimes love is letting go.
Also for my incident, I remember once in the county jail when I seen this guy lifting weights. He looked just like David from the side and I had plotted to hit that motherf***er as soon as he get those weights above his head. Fortunately for the guy, that when I got up on him I realized it wasn't who I thought it was.
Mallcore is the corporate slime tainting music listeners out there and it must stop! Too many kids are listening to that Ko?n, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park is all crap, people need to broaden their tastes and stop listening to the corporate churned bullsh** numetal on the radio these days!

War Ensemble, I like you, but you can't try to make kids listen to stuff more "underground"
and less mainstream, it's their choice. But I do agree that most of the stuff constantly being played sucks. Over half of it isn't even real music, it involves no instruments. Well, my favourite band is System, but now they're very popular for Mezmerize/Hypnotize.

I think you'll grow out of thinking they're ok Azazel_Begotten. I'm 18 now and when I look back on when I was 15/16 I can say I didn't like Black Metal (which I love now), listened mainly to Tool, SOAD and thrash metal, hell, even some Slipknot. I'm glad 'm outa that phase now cuz I realise metal is a journey.

Oh nothing, I was just meaning my palette was pretty limited, just the big four of Thrash. Probably 40-50% of what I listen to is thrash,Metallica ,Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus, Sepultura, Pantera,Anthrax, Kreator, Sodom, Watchtower, Forbidden, Coroner, Annihilator, Testament etc.

I would say both Death and Possessed are death/thrash, some people call that period post-thrash. They f***ing rule anyway. When people consider albums like "Individual Thought Patterns" as death metal, and at the same time say a Disgorge or Suffocation album it shows how wide the range is in death metal, which is why I get p***ed when people have stereotypes about the genre.

Azazel, regardless of what these hypocritical individuals have to say about different forms of music. As far as hard rock and heavy metal is concerned I may not have ever listened to anything harder than what would cross over on the Top 40 charts but I remember back then Tiffany asking me if I can to listen to a song called “18 & Life” from a band named Skid Row and I did and I loved the song as well as many others. I thought some of Cradles symphonic stuff was ok, but prefer straight out black metal, Mayhem, Burzum, Darkthrone. I'm a huge Xasthur fan as well. As far as classical, I'm a neoclassical nut but don't really like the symphony stuff.

My favorite classical music is generally solo piano stuff....
I can enjoy a full orchestra in Dimmu Borgir (and a few authentic old school symphonies) when the mood catches me right but more often than not alot of classical just forces my mind into this stuffy Shakespearian, English, nobility frame of thought......Not always.... but classical takes more time for me than most.
As for the bands in Angels list, their his thing. I can own up to liking the Deftones and Mudvayne but nothing else...What ever floats your boat man.

i can injoy some of Bimmu Borgirs stuff like some songs off of Puritanical or death cult but most of it is mainstream symphonic black metal although it is good i still prefer Mayhem, Burzum, Darkthrone, Emporer ect ect...
Angel in Disguise, what the hell was the point in that. 1post is a stupid song that know cares for, 2 post is about what in top 40 which is currently on my hate list, also mixing heavy metal with hip hop is a BIG, BIG NO. NO. post 3 was a list of bands that lack creativity or talent only to sell out with mixing to hip hop with metal ('cept Biohazard, Machine Head wich are thrash BTW!)....

Uh......Angel in Disguise, System and Mudvayne are my favourite bands and I listen to them alot, I'm sorry but they don't have rapping sequences in their songs. Well, there's a song on Mudvayne's L.D. 50 called Under My Skin and it has a little rap part which is pretty cool.

I like neo-classical metal heaps, Yngwie Malmsteen, Necrophagist, Symphony X, Cacophony, and solo stuff by Michael Romeo, Jason Becker, Marty Friedman etc. As far as classical, I only really like Bach, Handel, Chopin, Paganini - simple 1 or two part peices.
I don't mind a single synth line in metal, Emperor do it really well, but any more than that just becomes movie soundtrack classical mush to me.

Uh, B-rad, I think you need the study the intros of MuDvAyNe and SOAD before you start on me about who don't rap. Listen to more of Kill, I Oughtta and L.D. 50 and you'll notice the rap influentials of MuDvAyNe and how could you miss the hip hop of SOAD. In fact, SOAD has even did a song with Puff Daddy, Lil' Kim and Mase entitled, "Will They Die 4 U" and a redention of "Shame" with Wu-Tang Clan. Oh and if you still happen to miss it in Sugar, Suite Pee, Chop Suey, BYOB and countless others take a listen to Hed P.E.'s "Feel Good" (feat. Morgan Landers of Kittie and Serj Tankian of System of a Down)!

Oh yeah, War Ensemble, Biohazard was one of the original genre-bending rap/metal acts...
I don't have all their s.h.i.t. but of their '92 - Urban Discipline, '94 - State of the World Address, '96 - Mata Leão and '99 - New World Disorder... these boys brought the rap to the metal. I have '03 - Kill or Be Killed... I don't too much care for that one. As far as Machinehead is concerned even they caught the wave (no denying it), Flynn had to show off his rhyming skills which is best heard on '99 - The Burning Red and it's successor, '01 Supercharger. It's appeal is just too contageous, everyone wanted a piece of the cake... even Earth Crisis farewell CD, Slither embodied such skillful masterpieces.
My oh my, MH may have never got any airplay if they had never recorded, "From This Day" or "Desire to Fire." Of course, because of this some now consider them a sellout and they nearly fell off the plateu but true fans appreciate degression and progression alike because it's the inspiration of the band.
Other great CD's from MH: '94 -Burn My Eyes, '97 - The More Things Change... and '03 - Through the Ashes of Empires

I might have to take you up on that one W.E. and check out Vio-lence - Eternal Nightmare, however I will still like Machine Head. Hopefully they will release something new this year. Unfortunately, you don't like Biohazard too much because its rumored they returned to their roots last year with their '05 - MEANS TO AN END. Hell, I think I'll go ahead and wrap up the rest of their collection and get that one and '90 - {EPONYMOUS TITLED CD} & '01 - UNCIVILIZATION.

I was just on Amazon reading CD reviews and some guy wrote all metal bands have to warship satan and they represent evil. And he went on like this for a paragraph. People assume things by the band name or the way they look and they don't even bother listening to or even reading the lyrics. I'm not a huge fan of Metallica but I think they have awesome lyrics, I don't think Korn have very good lyrics and I kind of like them, and Mudvayne write amazing lyrics (even though they swear alot) and I LOVE them. And you'd be surprised how many Christian Metal bands there are out there who are good, like Demon Hunter and UnderOath.

I just mean they hold close aspects to both those bands. Classic NWOBHM E-D-C riffing, shifting base lines with single guitar motifs, but with raspier vocals like Children of Bodom (Actually having a listen to them just then they're way cleaner).
