Damn F*ckin rite simple plan suck i couldnt see that concert goining down to good.
Hardcore Metallica Fans would Boo the sh*t out of the other bands.
It happened in the Big Day Out Festival in Oz.
The Strokes got boo-ed of the stage.
And the majority of Simple Plans fans are 13ish year old boys and Girls who think there Punk.
And Metallicas fans are f*cking 13-50 and its not like they like Simple Plan!!!!!!
P.S. Metallicas new album would be good if
- Jaymz was given full song lyric powers
- Kirk and Jaymz played solos...and even an instrumental.
- If Lars played like he did in the 80's
- If Bob Rock got Fired
- If Rob was allowed to do his own stuff. E.g. Bass Solos and Effects
- And Finally if Kirk didnt use the wah pedal as much!!

ur right St. Anger had potential if Kirk played solo, they wrote better lyrics (the lyrics to frantic sucked), they shortened some of the songs (some kind of monster played the same riff over and over again for 8 straight mins. it worked for walk cause it was a sweet riff and it wasnt 8 mins) a ballad like fade to black would have been fine, give it better mixing and get rid of bob rock completely the bastard ruined my fav. band of all time

I hope their 10yr phase of "doing what they want" and altering their sound is over. They need to get back to pleasing the REAL Metallica fans. And that f***ing numbnuts Bob Rock should get the f*** out the picture. No offense razor, but what you don't realize could fill up Madison Square Garden.

When I look at a ticket & see metallica, it's expected a good heavy seat will accompany them, not some teeny bopper whinebags. A total discredit to what metallica is really about under the plastic. Not likely SP fans are metallica fans or vice versa. Do the majority of fans who go to a simple plan show expect Slayer or Hatebreed to be part of the set, hell no.

not cool metallica, not cool. expecaily see as such crappy pop filled band like SIMPLE PLAN, THE RASMUS, SEETHER, FATBOY SLIM, and COLLECTIVE SOUL. they all suck why do they even bother touring. metallica live is the only good thing about them now a days. soo i would leave when those pathetic band are playing.

HAHAHA, Bubzy10151, i was there at BDO, witnessed and took part in the public humiliation of The Strokes. . .Simple Plan is not gonna last 5 seconds before Metallica and thats a fact!!
Bubzy, were u at the entertainment centre show on the Wednesday that week when the Datsuns made the mistake of playing before Metallica?? For those who dont know, the lead singer got scored with an apple and during the ENTIRE set there was nothing but booing, all this for a band not as prissy as simple plan!!
Dude, Simple Plans annoying and uneventful short career will thankfully be over after that show!! Metallica is doing the world a favour. THANK YOU!!!!!
This new album should kick maxiumum ass

Yer i was at BDO but in Perth and yer the strokes got humiliated i reckon they finished 2 songs early just coz no-one gave a f*** about the pricks, all day bands where praising that metallica was back in aus Blooduster even covered Last caress which was pretty cool and im pretty sure a couple bands on the local stage played a few tallica tunes. I think Metallica are doing the show coz like the article said its the first time there going to that country and being south africa theres like no market for alternative music ...acording to a friend that lives there that is and i'd belive her since south africa is basically just black people (not that theres nethin wrong wid that) and white people who are supressed into doin nothing but work, drink and talk with a funny accent. Neways back to the point since theres no market metallica would have to do that festival to get the numbers up. And maybe its a goal for tehm to play every country possible who knows....I really hope the next album is good as long as its not st anger part 2 ill be happy.

I have been listening to Metallica almost all my life. I live in South Africa and when I heard that Metallica is coming to town I wanted to buy a ticket imediately, until I heard that their will be playing like 11 other bands. I bought a ticket anyway, I just don't think it is gona be that good. I will be p*ssed if Metallica are only going to play for a hour or something. They will probably play one descent old song and the rest of it, probably St. Anger stuff...

No, no Cynic, you got it all wrong......sometimes I just put in band names for fun here to see if they're actually on this site. I wouldn't actually go on the article constantly if they were a band I hate, like Simple Plan. But I actually like Korn (kinda), and I think Seether are okay, not great though, and definetly NOT metal.
