In a first of its kind for the music industry, Grammy-winning rock band KORN announced today that it is teaming up with Live Nation, the world's leading live entertainment company, in a unique, exclusive joint venture. The innovative set of deals expands on the unprecedented partnership KORN created with EMI Music in September.
Under the agreements, Live Nation, EMI and KORN will partner in and share in the results of the band's overall career — including their recording, publishing, touring, merchandising, sponsorship, and other activities. All parties are incentivized financially and creatively to work with KORN's management company, Beverly Hills-based The Firm, to take a long-term approach to building the KORN brand. Each will use its diverse and significant expertise and resources toward the common goal of bolstering KORN's worldwide presence and value.
"This is about shifting power back to artists by finding strategic partners who are the best in their respective businesses and incentivizing them to work in unison to attain common goals consistent with the band's goals," said Jeff Kwatinetz, CEO of the The Firm. "We are thrilled to be in business with Live Nation and especially with its forward-thinking new CEO Michael Rapino. Not only is Live Nation a superb concert promoter, it is a stellar marketing, promotion and production company. This deal allows them to focus not just on selling concert tickets, but on fully investing in the KORN brand. We believe this venture will pave a new way of doing business for musical artists in the future."

The guitar simplicity factor is absolutely insulting to all surrounding intelligence within earshot of the incessant drivel. It makes me want to scream, but it seems to make Jon Davis want to cry like a girl and vomit into microphones. Interesting symptoms, eh? When I hear the two chord amazing riffs, I want to steal the guitar, and bash it over his head...then hell really be "A REAL FREAK ON A LEASH" huh! The actual musical value of this s-hit is low, almost as low as the notes on this bands godawful 7th string.

I have been coming on here for awhile but have never posted before. I am about Jonathan Davis's age and I love Korn. I grew up on hard rock and metal. So i'm not some snot nosed teenager that alot of you have accused Korn fans of being. Lord Agony stated that when Korn comes on you can immediatly recognize them for their sound, to me thats a sign of a great band because they have a unique sound . ( like Ac/Dc or Black Sabbath) I lost hope when the grunge scene took over, but the first time i heard Korn it made me want to get up and thrash around lol and i hadn't felt that way in a long time. I love how Jonathan plays bagpipes ( i have a thing for Scottish men lol) and I love how he has the balls to say what he says in his songs. The vocals remind me of elementary school. Not only because Jon Davis sounds like a small child, but also because whenever I saw vomit as a small child, that was spewed from another who didn't know his bean and chili limit at lunchtime, I would feel the urge to vomit, myself. And given the way this wigger dumbass orally defecates into the microphone, I begin to develop a nauseating feeling....

I didn't spend too much time analyzing the musical value because there wasn't anything to analyze.It pretty much just sounds like a lame attempt to combine rap and metal (WHICH IS PRETTY RETARDED IN TISELF). The stupidity of the music rival's Coal Chamber's two chord songs (let alone two chord riffs, for that matter!). The sound they make can be accomplished with a two year old wiping his a$$ on a Fender....NO KIDDING...
Furthermore, they really have no clue as far as arranging songs. There are a large number of awqward stops and starts between riffs that ruin any chance of having any kind of flowing energy in the music...IT JUST A BUNCH OF HEAVY GROOVES AND ANNOYING BASS LINES. I have a tough time describing how s-hitty they are musically, I'd be here all day trying...it's so pathetic.
The false energy is f-ucking idiotic. I don't know if you can relate or not, but if you know what I'm talking about, please post yourself on this message board saying so (LIKE WAR ENSEMBLE). False energy in music to me is how the vocalist tries to sound angry, and "f-ucked-up" as if he or she has lived a traumatic life, or if he or she is really p***ed and about to snap. A great example is Korn's "Faget". Where he goes into his "I'm-so-f-ucked-up-in-the-head" sounding interlude. That's just trying too f-ucking hard...Korn tries to pull this lame a-ssed h-orsesh** all the goddamn time....ITS PATHETIC...
All these things, the nauseating vocals that are present because of a wigger vocalist trying to scream and be tough, the insulting musical stupidity, the false-energy, and the publicity they gain simply by being wannabe hard-core, makes KORN AKA KRAP THE WORST BAND I have ever heard. They are every other mallcore band on this site combined, and multiplied. The only reason they aren't on my mind 24/7 is because they are losing popularity....RAPIDLY...hopefully we can keep it that way...

To killingtime420, musical subjectivity aside, I think korn and co are doing major damage to the framework of traditional metal, which fuels my (and others) dislike for metalcore and nu-metal bands.
