Atreyu Offered Ozzfest 2006 Tour Slot

Atreyu have been offered a slot on the 2006 edition of the "Ozzfest", though they have yet to decide as to whether or not they will join the trek. MTV.com reports that they will mull it over between now and March 28, when "Deathgrip" hits stores via Victory Records. Atreyu is also slated for the Taste of Chaos trek, which kicks off February 16 in San Diego and features Deftones, As I Lay Dying, Pelican, Dredg and others. The singer said the band is prepared for whatever response the new material gets.

Atreyu have not one single composition that tops any of the songs ever written by any of the metal bands you listed. Atreyu don't even come close to the songs Ozzy wrote with Randy Rhoads, and then Zakk Wylde. Atreyu can not play as skillfully, let alone as fast as the bands you listed. I'd like to see Atreyu attempt to play something from Soul of A New Machine, then miserably fail.
Saying Atreyu is heavier than Slayer would be like saying people piss out of their mouths, it's f***ing idiotic, and for lack of a better word, retarded. Slayer are heavier in every way. Lyrically, their content is heavier/darker/more intense (Auschwitz, the meaning of pain....anyone?), the guitars are heavier/tuning is lower, and a Slayer show will most definitely come with a higher decibel level than an Atreyu show. Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King aren't outdone by many guitarists, certainly not the dipsh**s from Atreyu. Besides, Atreyu would probably list Slayer as one of their influences, or at least a band they hold in high regards. And the lead singer of Atreyu is always wearing a Cradle of Filth shirt. I bet you hate them too.
I hate Atreyu because they are truely talentless little f***s. I gave them a chance. I listened to two of their cds I burned from friends. Their music is genuinely f***ing terrible. I listen to good music; artists and bands who possess unlimited amounts of talent and insane skills. I would be glad to provide anyone with a list of good music.
Everything has a beat you dope, It's just that when we speak in terms of thrash, it's a more erratic, changing beat, not the constant, monotonous Atreyu/similar ridiculously awful band type horse sh**.
As for melody. The definition of melody:

I think Atreyu qualifies as better than Limp Bizkit.

I'm never gonna like every single band that is on the Ozzfest bill I just hope that some of my favorites will be there this year like Children of Bodom and Lamb of God. Until the whole list of bands is released I'm gonna stay hopeful that it'll be bands like the above ones I mentioned who are on the list. Just have to wait and see, its only Jan anyhow who knows? By the way anyone that doesn't like A7X just because City of Evil isn't as heavy as Waking the Fallen or Sounding the Seventh Trumphet has a good arguement but don't say they aren't metal anymore there first two CD's were f***ing awesome and City of Evil is pretty good but i just wish they still used the heavy voice...back to the point they are still plenty metal just because of the first two CD's

atreyu is a good band for the secand stage . they will most likely end up going , but also we need some relly good bands this time some thing you kno the fans will crave over lits have some tool ,manson slipknot ,sabbath relly good and wellknown people like that will reep good business for the ozzfest indistrey ,and draw lots of fans ,,, on the 2nd stage dont just put aney thaing like wicked wisdom that was not even funny cynder was 3 times better that them burry your dead and gizmatchi and they were not even posted for ozzfest. Have a ozzfest style of bands up there not revolution smile and wicked wisdom ,trivium and atreu chimara,cradle of filth ,thos are new ozzfest style and they are not burnt out bye the people ,just be creative when in comes to ozzfest not just any little thing it really is a huge dill conciderin it onley comes onece a year. love you -kasey
