Beartooth Premiere New Single & Lyric Video "Bullshit"

Beartooth have released their new single “Bullshit.” The track was originally set to debut alongside an elaborate lyric video, but those plans were abandoned on June 18th after the band discovered that the artist hired to animate the clip had used AI in its creation. As a result, vocalist Caleb Shomo and his brother Luke quickly assembled an alternative lyric video.
Beartooth’s new studio album, “Pure Ecstasy,” is scheduled for release on August 28th. Early discussion surrounding the record has largely focused on Shomo’s decision to publicly come out as a “proudly gay man” earlier this year.
Addressing the situation online, Caleb clarified that the band had not approved the use of AI-generated artwork.
The replacement lyric video is now available, with Caleb saying of the song:
“‘Bullshit‘ is a familiar song I’ve written many times. I wanted to revisit the musical style that was the catalyst of so much healing and discovery in my earlier years of Beartooth. It’s an exercise in letting the truth out about what you’re sick of in your own life. Sometimes the easiest way to deal with something is to yell about it as loud as you can. Can confirm, it felt as amazing to do this exercise now as it did when I was 19.”
