Boundaries Premiere New Single & Music Video "May this pain never leave" From Upcoming New Album "Yearning: the unbeautiful after"

Boundaries have released “May this pain never leave,” the latest single from their upcoming album “Yearning: the unbeautiful after.” The metalcore band once again teamed up with longtime videographer Sarah Holick for the song’s performance-based video, which was filmed during a show at The Webster Underground in their hometown of Hartford, CT.

Boundaries’ new album, “Yearning: the unbeautiful after,” is set for release on July 17th through Sumerian Records.

Frontman Matthew McDougal explained the meaning behind the track, stating:

“The premise of the song is laid out very plainly and intentionally. It exists as an extension of the Colin Parkes quote: ‘The pain of grief is just as much a part of life as the joy of love; it is, perhaps, the price we pay for love, the cost of commitment.’”

The song was written in the aftermath of the 2025 plane crash that claimed the lives of Dave Shapiro, Kendall Fortner, Emma Huke, Daniel Carmelo, and two others. Several of those who died worked with the band through Sound Talent Group, the company co-founded by Shapiro, who was piloting the aircraft at the time of the crash. McDougal further shared:

“With the sudden and violent loss of a number of people close to the band this past year it became impossible to not write about the bereavement and the subsequent emotions. As much as it hurts to miss these people, I hope with all my heart it never stops so that I may miss them with the weight and significance they deserve.”
