Korn Frontman: We Are Shooting 'The Most Insane Video'

KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has posted the following message on his ButtSexCrips.com web site:
"[I've] been having fun chillin' with the family while I've been home for the last two days.
"We [KORN] have been shooting the most insane video. We got one more day and we are done.
"It's nice to have a label that is your partner 'cause they are letting us do whatever we want to do and this video shows that."
KORN's first album as part of their new deal with Virgin/EMI, entitled "See You on the Other Side", is scheduled for release on December 6. The album's first single "Twisted Transistor", debuted last week at No. 27 on Billboard's Modern Rock airplay tally and jumped 31-19 on the Mainstream Rock chart, according to Billboard.com.
"See You on the Other Side" was produced by KORN frontman Jonathan Davis in tandem with Atticus Ross and the pop hitmaking team the Matrix (LIZ PHAIR, HILARY DUFF).
KORN are in the planning stages of a North American run.

Time will tell if this is the beginning of the end or a new start for them, but they've been on a down hill for so long it's like expecting Metallica to come out with something as great as "Ride the Lightning" again....It probably wont happen.

This is an odd turn of events.......Korn are on a bullet train to bullsh**. There is ---NOTHING--- metal about their new single....That song CAN NOT be defended in any way.
"Word up" and "Twisted Transistor" are total hog-sh**, if you like those songs, and don't hear the difference in quality from their earlier material....."THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU".
There has been a tremendous decline in Korns creative output....With commercial success that happens, but this goes beyond sucking, this is f***ing treason.
If Korn can't put out songs as good as or better than "Did My Time" (the only truely good song off the last record), "Blind", "Daddy", "Chi", "Ball Tongue", "Hollow Life", "Faget", "Mr Rogers" "It's On", "Clown" etc... What is the point in listening?
This isn't an attack on Korn fans but I don't know how you can actually enjoy their first few records and the last lingering bit of quality songs from their last few cds.....and then enjoy "Twisted Transistor" and "Word Up"............ They are PURE POP!!!!!!............... The "very" thing this band once stood against.
It's a f***ing cop-out this is music that not so long ago would have disgusted every member of Korn to be a part of.
I hate to say this but Korn are dead in my book....I dont even want to know what the rest of the album sounds like, the thought of it is too horrible to comtemplate.
You Korn fans can have your sh**ty "Otherside" album, because if you have half a brain or one shred of good taste you would feel betrayed by Korn.

"Twisted Transistor" is hands down the most terrible song in recent years from any band that at any point wore the metal label.
This is not opinion anymore, this is cold, hard fact....an undeniable truth.
The song is fecal sludge leaving a prisons sewage system. It's a statement on how much bullsh** "true" fans will buy before they get fed up and find another favorite band. And every Korn fan who is picking up this album is falling into a money trap.

I've been a big fan of KoRn since '97, and I’d quite happily say that they're among my favourite bands... So who's great f**kin idea was it to let the same p***y that worked on a Hilary Duff CD, have a say in the production of a KoRn CD??? The whole f**ckin world's gone mad. And it's such a shame too, coz I think the riff is killer, and the beat gives it power. But I can't stand that "happy, I'm so happy" bubblegum bullsh*t vocal melody/harmony. Jon's got a f*ckin amazing voice, but sometimes the world of "well at least this will get onto MTV" gets the better of him. But the underlying aspect of the song which makes it sound so poppy, is the way it was mixed. You just don't get the full drive of the (what should be a) fat a$$ guitar sound. And the stuff that is made evident to the listener, is just so f*ckin superfluous. So at the end of the day, I'm not happy, and p***ed off with the end result (but for more thought out reasons than the people here who are just saying "ooh, f*** KoRn", which I don't agree with at all).
So I really think you have to understand and look into the behind the scenes, in studio aspect of the music. It's not just the 5 faces (well, 4 now) on your KoRn poster that make the end result. And to the people who just said "F*ck KoRn", i say "F*ck You". As for the 6th December... I have a tendency to always say "yea, of course I know what to expect", but then again, what the f*ck do I know? lol.
