Iron Maiden Fans Declare War On Sharon Osbourne

According to MSNBC.com, some Iron Maiden fans have declared a heavy metal war on Sharon Osbourne. More than a thousand angry fans have signed a petition they plan to send to Ozzy’s wife, with some signers wishing the former reality-show star bodily harm.
The unpleasantness began at an Ozzfest concert in Devore, California over the weekend. When Iron Maiden took the stage, Black Sabbath fans apparently began chanting for Ozzy to appear, with some hurling eggs, bottles and various other items on stage.
Iron Maiden’s lead singer, Bruce Dickinson, told the crowd to break the arms of the hurlers, according to various fans’ reports, and made a snide comment about heavy-metal singers who appear in reality shows. “Technical difficulties” then erupted in Iron Maiden’s show — with lighting and sound going on the fritz; fans of the band blamed the problem on the organizers of Ozzfest. Some also claim that that Kelly Osbourne was one of the eggers, which the Osbourne camp denies.
Sharon Osbourne took the stage afterwards and had kind words for most members of Iron Maiden but reportedly called Dickinson an obscenity and said that he had been disrespectful of Ozzfest since the beginning of the tour.
That has brought out the wrath of Iron Maiden fans. “Sharon and Kelly’s actions towards Bruce and Iron Maiden are despicable at best,” wrote petitioner Michael Swint, one of the calmer of the signers. “It clearly shows how low they are willing to go to upstage an incredible act that were asked by the Osbournes to co-headline and [yet] Maiden are treated with disrespect.”

It was awesome when Bruce d***enson fought back. Especially when he singhled out one punk who spit on him. d***enson called him a four eyed mother f*#ker, and would gladly jump down there and rip his head off it wasn't for the lawsuits, then he had security kick his a$$ out. Obviously Sharon and her brood were behind this. August 20th was definately MAIDENFEST.

Some say Ozzy/Sabbath are #1
and it s u c k s that Bruce supposedly dissed 'em
Some say Maiden is #1
and it s u c k s that Sharon attacked them
BUT THE MAIN POINT IS:
THE FANS ARE #1
and The FANS were the ones who were disrespected and endangered the most!
Sharon and her followers will never have a good excuse for treating the fans like that!
Okay, now everybody has said their opinions
NOW IS THE TIME TO TAKE ACTION!!
CONTACT OZZFEST AND DEMAND YOUR MONEY BACK!!
Even if you weren't at San Bernadino,
THE S H I T T Y SOUND SYSTEM alone is enough to warrant a REFUND!
If no refund is given, then everybody get together for a
CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!!
Ever hear of "Reckless Endangerment"?
How about "Consumer Fraud"?
I am sure there are lawyers out there just waiting to jump on this one!
IT'S THE FANS WHO MATTER MOST, WITHOUT US ALL BANDS ARE NOTHING!!
Don't be timid little sheep!
STAND UP FOR YOURSELVES AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
METAL UP YER A S S!!

The thing is all to bad. I saw the concert here in Boston and Maiden blew everyone away. Everything Bruce said was right but that does not give him the right to say it. In the end Sharon ruined the concert for most fans there. Most fans in Boston where there to see Maiden and Sabbath was the back up group, this is where the real problem stems from, from Sharon. Sharon says that Maiden is not big here in the states and she is right but Maiden is larger than Ozzy could ever dream of being everywhere else in the world. This is because the States are commerricial and Maiden does not want anything to do with that. THATS THEIR CHOICE!

Come on people!!! This is all f***ing rediculous!
Bruce did some sh** that p***ed some people off, and Sharon's a b****!
How about we all learn something from this. I thought we all learned when
Dime was killed that we all need to stick together. There was a lot of
sh** talking from the parties in the Pantera camp that they all regret now.
Metal needs to stick together! People have been trying to paint metalheads
for years as a bunch of crazy devil worshiping outcasts that want to kill everybody.
Heavy metal war? That's the stupidest sh** I've ever heard!!!
I love Ozzy and Iron Maiden! Both are pioneers in the music we all love!
Everybody should just let this sh** go! If you're p***ed off, don't go to Ozzfest next year,
or ever again! That's the best way to make your point!
Also, this sh** didn't happen because Ozzy was upstaged. Honestly, Ozzy's been upstaged
pretty much every year. I mean no disrespect to him, but Sabbath going on after a day
of aggressive, pounding metal is kind of a let down musically. Besides, Ozzy is retiring as the headliner. Just let it go!!!

You're right Aven, I was there too. The sound system sounded pretty lousy when a few other bands played though. Mudvayne comes to mind. The guitar was about 3 times louder than the rest of the band, and as a whole NO OF THE BAND WERE LOUD ENOUGH! Maiden definately kicked a$$ despite that.

WAKE UP! Ozzy never wrote those Black Sabbath songs we all love, he was stoned and drunk most of the time. It was Butler/Iommi. Ozzy`s and Bill wards names is there besides the actual songwriters because they wanted to avoid fights about the copyrights etc... OZZY IS NO PIONEER: IOMMI/BUTLER IS, SO WAKE THE f*** UP

I agree with Relentles Austin. Not only that but everyone needs to grow up. Bruce is an egotistacle moron and shouldn't have said crap. I love Maiden and I always hated Sabbath but still respect them because they were the fathers. Maiden rules but we all know Bruce would say sh!t like that and I believe Sharon when she says he did talk sh!t. But still, Sharon went WAY too far by doing what she did and she should have solved it in a professional matter rather than acting like some d!ckhead retard. Bruce had it coming but what she did is unforgivable to the fans. But let's not forget, Sharon ISN'T Black Sabbath . I still respect Sabbath and always will because I know Ozzy had no idea what was going on (and probably still doesn't.). The point is, BOTH parties were wrong and declaring war against Sharon (and the Osbournes) is going way too far, Metal is supposed to be a brother-hood and we're totally ruining that. If you want your point made then f%ck ozzfest next year but come on, Bruce, Sharon and the fans need to grow up....it's just music people, we don't need to see a repeat of the dimebag incidents with Ozzy do we??

I keep hearing ths sh!t about how Sharon doesn't care about the fans and only wants money and everyone saying how Iron Maiden loveds their fans. Do you actually think that Iron Maiden give one sh!t about us? Every single band is in it for the money, that's why they play, that's why they do it, that's why Iron Maiden sells their fuc@king T-shirts. WAKE UP PEOPLE, Iron Maiden doesn't love you, they love your money so why the hell are you defending them so much? They make noises with instruments, they are not Gods and they don't know you or like you and don't want to. Let the Sharon and Maiden settle things by themselves.

Hey guys.......i'm a great fan of ozzy as well as maiden..........but the point here is we all live and die for heavy metal........so i see no point in us fighting who is better ozzy or maiden...........the bottom line is heavy metal does not need incidents like these........and fans should be treated like FANS
