METALLICA will be the special guest for THE ROLLING STONES as part of their "A Bigger Bang" world tour at SBC Park in San Francisco on November 13 and November 15. An additional opening act will be announced shortly with times for both concerts being moved up an hour to 6:00 p.m. PST. METALLICA joins a diverse list of top opening acts, including THE BLACK EYED PEAS, MAROON 5, PEARL JAM, JOHN MAYER TRIO, LES TROIS ACCORDS, THE TRAGICALLY HIP, OUR LADY PEACE, TREY ANASTASIO, JOSS STONE and BECK.
"Over the course of our career we've been fortunate enough to share the stage with a select few of the bands we grew up on, admired and respected including AC/DC, DEEP PURPLE, GUNS N' ROSES and IRON MAIDEN. The only band that we have never played with but have always wanted to is THE ROLLING STONES," says METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich.
"Having the opportunity to play with them this November in our hometown of San Francisco is both an honor and a privilege. And it's bound to be a lot of fuckin' fun especially since we haven't special guested since 1992! These shows will enable us to recharge our batteries, both creatively and physically, as we prepare for the next phase of METALLICA."
Tickets for THE ROLLING STONES at SBC Park on November 13 are sold out. Tickets for the November 15 performance are on sale now at BGP.com, Ticketmaster.com and at all Ticketmaster outlets including Tower Records, Wherehouse Music, Ritmo Latino, select Save Mart and select FYE stores, and Tix Bay Area in Union Square. To charge tickets by phone, call (415) 421-TIXS, (408) 998-TIXS, (510) 444-TIXS, (209) 485-TIXS or (707) 528-TIXS.
The U.S. leg of the "A Bigger Bang" world tour is presented by Ameriquest Mortgage Company. ROLLING STONES' world tour 2005/2006 will be presented by Concert Productions International and produced by WPC Piecemeal Inc.

hey, the most p***ed off man in australia, metallica gives two sh!ts about the rolling stones. They're all about NWOBHM, not a Brit pop band from the 60's. And they maybe musicians but don't let that fool you They are money hungry bastards, That's why they need a shrink, cause they all hate each other, but love the money they make together. I'm not saying they're sell-outs because every musician progresses as time goes by, but they are only doing this concert for the money, actually everything they do is because of money, they sued napster, so people couldn't take their money. Now they tour, sell tickets for $100 and make a million a night.
...Okay so I'm sayin' they're sell-outs

what the hell is this ?? first metallica comes out with ST. Anger (the sh**y album) then they tour with rollingstones and black eyed peas ?????!!!!!! well metallica is gone since 2000 (i disapear) , that another reason why MEGADETH kicks metallicas a$$ !!
all u metallica lovers , look who metallica is touring with and look at megadeth and the gigantour !! compare st anger to THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED if u can!!!

the problem with st. anger wasn't really the music i thought that sounded cool nothing compared to their other 9 or 10 albums but listen to the lyrics they just f***ing suck frantic tic tic tock haha what the f*** is that about anyway i like metallica so i just hope they go back to their roots S&M Doesn't count Something good has to follow Garage Inc. if they put out another album like st. anger i don't know what to think but if st. anger wasn't st. suck in the first place i know people would be kissin their a$$ right now not really but they wouldn't be talkin sh** on one of the most influencial bands of metal

nothing against megadeath, but wasn't dave mustange crying like a little b**** on metallica's movie, some kind of monster.... anyway, ac/dc said it best when asked to open for the stones.... angus, "f*** the stones, we're not an opening band"... at least ac/dc still have their balls and never changed their sound... fkn metallica went to sh** over the years....
