A FEAR FACTORY podcast featuring three songs ("Transgression", "Shock", and "Acres of Skin") from a Gigantour rehearsal has been posted to FEAR FACTORY's Online Squad and can be downloaded at this location.

"Transgression" is scheduled for release on August 23 (one day earlier internationally) via Calvin Records, an imprint of Liquid 8 Records.

FEAR FACTORY entered Track Record Studios in North Hollywood, California on May 5 with producer Toby Wright (ALICE IN CHAINS, KORN, SOULFLY) to begin recording the follow-up to last year's "Archetype". In addition to Wright, there is a list of guest musicians collaborating on "Transgression", including bass player Billy Gould of FAITH NO MORE fame. Billy contributes to two songs: "Echo of My Scream" and "Supernova". Also included on "Transgression" is "New Promise", which was co-written with Mark Morton of LAMB OF GOD.

They have definitely been pushing other bands to the musical limits since their first LP. But the new stuff is a little to polished and lacking the anger of earlier albums.
