Site Update
Help Wanted - Metalunderground.com Looking for Volunteers
Metalunderground.com is once again looking to add a few volunteers to help with news and other content (band bios, interviews, reviews). We are also looking to expand our international coverage and appeal, so anyone outside the United States – especially from the UK, Europe and Australia – is especially welcome. If you’re into any of the non-mainstream metal genres, the Swedish Metal scene, Hardcore, or Industrial, we’re especially interested. Local underground scenes and European festival-goers are a big plus!
Applicants must be 18 or older. A good grasp of the English language and basic computer literacy is required. You must be passionate about metal and/or related subgenres and have a few hours a week (preferably a little time 3-5 days a week) to dedicate to the site. And finally, you must have or sign up for an instant message account (Yahoo, ICQ, AIM are all fine).
There is no pay, but potentially a few perks/freebies once in a while.
If this sounds interesting and you would like to become part of a rapidly growing metal site and community, drop me an email at help_us@metalunderground.com or instant message me (AIM dgibson666, ICQ 354916).

Ugh, 18? Damn, I'd help if I wasn't 17 then.
I know a bit of HTML, not alot, just the basics really. Like how to make something bold, or make a mailto. I got an IM too, not Yahoo, but Windows/MSN.
And all of you know that I know the English language and know how to spell. But, my stupid age. :(

Boy steven. Your really act like you are the supreme when it comes to music. Just tell me how do you like your metal. Sounds like you're pretty quick to down something people like. The reason metal is not accepted as much is probably because dic-k lickers like you buddy. Always quick to put down something that someone likes. Also the average 80's hair metal fan that can't understand why no1 likes to listen to what they like. But who are you? What makes you think you know something that others don't? Death metal sucks? Black Metal is Talentless? Me personally i think you suck and you're talentless.

I love extreme music and intense shows. i am through being cool. F.U.

Yes, as we watch your generation populate grave yards we'll be keeping Maiden, Priest, Motorhead and Sabbath documented in the history books....Meanwhile, we have to undo the cliches brought about by the wizards and warriors metal, hair metal and the rap metal eras.
Thanks again Mullet heads and Suburb thugs!!!
As for the classics, there is a place for them. However, most metal fans like to appreciate the impact of ancestral metal while embracing what the present and future bring......Otherwise your just going to be sitting in you're feces brown Chevette listening to that same "Screaming for Vengence" tape over and over and over and over and over.....
"Weeeee!!!" adventurous aren't we?
codger....

Well before this thread degenerates any further, I wanted to thank everyone who came forward to help. I've got several people lined up who I think will make excellent contributions to Metal Underground .com! And to all those under 18 who expressed an interest to help, thanks as well. As I explained to a couple of you via IM, there are a multitude of reasons I'm not considering additional contributors under 18, many of which the individual has no control over. So it's nothing personal. And it's not because I'm an old fart who dislikes todays youth or metal for that matter :-)
Stay tuned because I really do want to leverage this membership aspect and get everyone contributing with suggesting links and bands and more user feedback (maybe album rating similar to Blabbermouth or even full blown user reviews as well).
