Wicked Wisdom Post New Song Online For Listening
An audio clip of a brand-new WICKED WISDOM track, entitled "Something Inside of Me", has been posted online at WickedWisdom.net (in f***ing Real Audio format).
WICKED WISDOM, who have been confirmed as the final band on the second stage of this year's Ozzfest, were previously described by MTV.com as an EVANESCENSE-esque act that Pinkett Smith, the band's frontperson and the wife of actor/rapper Will Smith, has said is influenced by ANI DIFRANCO, PRINCE, TORI AMOS and SEVENDUST. The group also includes a guy named Pocket on guitar, another fellow named Rio on bass, keyboardist Cameron Graves and drummer Phillip Fisher (founding member of FISHBONE). This summer's Ozzfest stint will mark WICKED WISDOM's first North American tour: The group primarily perform club gigs in and around Los Angeles, although they have opened for PAPA ROACH and were the support act for BRITNEY SPEARS' 2004 European tour.
"Something Inside of Me" will be included on the Ozzfest 2005 summer sampler, which will be available at the Ozzfest Summer Sampler tent for free, and as a consolation prize in the Village of the Damned at any of the game booths.
WICKED WISDOM are said to be writing material for their debut album, which they are co-producing with Ulrich Wild (P.O.D., INCUBUS, STATIC-X). The group are managed by James Lassiter and Miguel Melendez at Overbrook Entertainment, the production/management company owned by Will Smith.

I was having a really crappy day today and I've been depressed like the whole day. But coming online and listening to this makes me smile and laugh. Probably not what Jada Pinkett Smith wants me to be doing listening to her song, but oh well. Thank you Jada for making me laugh at your crappy band.

wow....so thats what all the people are flipping out about......
OK, so it's bad, vocally and lyrics-wise it's ---"REAL"--- bad......
pretty much what I expected....the rhythm sections pretty impressive though, and the song is catchy......But that scream mid-song had me belly laughing.....complete with laughy-tears and a bruise from falling out of my chair.
Jada Pinkett Smith needs some serious vocal coaching, and a semester or two of pure English and Literature classes(who am i to talk though, she's rich and i had to take 20 out of savings for food and a hair cut )....the "Something inside Me" line has been said by Korn and many lesser bands........
On the bright side she has good influences and she's no worse than other celeb bands like Dogstar and 30 seconds to Mars, but Jared Letto can actually sing.....and Neo/Ted can sorta play bass in a sex pistols kinda way.
