Metallica Signed Guitar For Charity Auction

A guitar specially made and signed by the members of METALLICA will be auctioned on July 2 as part of the the Hollister Independence Rally, a motorcycle event which takes place in Hollister, California. All the money raised through the auction will go to the Help Save the Cancer Kids Foundation.
The nonprofit foundation raises money to directly affect families of children with cancer by helping with car payments, buying laptops, or simply putting food on the table.

B.C.Rich are not my cup of tea, but do the job pretty well.
But Kirk is not an amazing guitarist. He is good, and I love his work and Metallica, but he is not by any means a great guitarist.
As I said before, I love his work, but even though it sounded great, it's not as hard as it is made up to be. I've been playing bass for over a year and the lead guitarist in my band taught me half the 'One' solo in about ten minutes and the Sanitarium in about 20.
I do love his work but he is over-rated and uses the 'wah' pedal way too much...

Kirk, whether you choose to admit it or not is your problem, is an amazing guitarist especially in tandem with Hetfield who doesn't get enough credit for his guitar ability. Keep in mind, Kirk did learn from the infamous Joe Satriani. The solos for "One" and "Sanitarium (Welcome Home)" don't compare to solos featured on songs like "Jump in the Fire" or "The Four Horsemen", even though those were solos made by Mustaine, kirk plays them damn well.

When doing somebody else's solo(or a cover of a song, it's not how good you are, it's how good you sound. I like his work, but he is so over-rated it's not even funny. Mean-while people like Zakk Wylde are only getting the deserved credit for their work now. This time last year I couldn't figure out why nobody was saying Zakk was better than Kirk.
In the band, he's the most stable and sane one of them. I agree with you about James though, the guy is an amazing front-man, excellent rhythm player and can play anything while singing it.

I think Metallica's work is far superior to anything I ever heard Zakk play on, but I have to agree, as far as guitarists go, Zakk blows Kirk out of the water. Kirk is over-rated, over wah-ed and James' rhythms and their songwriting is what makes Metallica so f***ing cool.
If Megadeth wasn't so kickass I'd wish they'd have kept the drunk son-of-a-b****... I mean, the rest of them were sober... right?
