Thats not likely, it took Slipknots Vol.3 a year and a few days to go platinum, as was told to me by Corey at the show in Oklahoma City with LoG and Shadows Fall. Mudvayne is popular, but not nearly as popular as slipknot. Which is a shame they are far more talented.

Mudvayne is pretty cool...I like the way they stopped "dressing up" like aliens and using makeup...that made them alot better. Im sorry I am not all into that crap at all...but its all about the music right? Well I think for a metal band today to have a gold record within a few weeks of its release its f***in great for the metal/rock community. I am not a big fan of Mudvayne but i do enjoy thier music and they put on a good live show. Good for them.

thats cool mudvaynes l&f cds gold thats kickass.im happy(no pun) 4 them i truly am.but the one thing that bugged me is how people say that mudvayne would still b around if slipknot wouldnt(im not saying u people say this)but if it wasnt 4 slipknot&clown, mudvayne wouldve been either underground still,or more like the beguining of all things to end(or watever, toolazy to get cd) via said by chad.its hard, but its true.

Heh, god forbid punk fans like some metal and metal fans like some punk. Slipknot helped Mudvayne take off, they come from the same state, many tours and shows together....Mudvaynes the better band IMHO but they sort of grew off the same tree, to like one and hate another is understandable but theres "many" distinct similarities.
