Reports Say Detroit Officials Say Cornell Death Appears To Be Suicide

The news of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell's death rocked the music world today, but in a breaking news report on WCBS Radio out of New York indicated that Detroit officials have said that the death appears to be a suicide.

The breaking news story aired just after 7:05am on 880AM, but complete details on the cause have not yet been disclosed. Multiple news sources followed with similar updates, including from WXYZ in Detroit, which reported: "Police say Cornell's wife called a family friend and asked him to check on his well-being. The friend forced opened the door and found Cornell on the bathroom floor, according to police."

woah, now that was news I didn't need to read about. RIP to an amazing vocalist, got to see them in 1989 / 1990 and to this day that young Soundgarden remains imprinted on my brain.
