Fear Factory are to release their new album entitled, "Transgression", and have set an August 23. The album will be produced by Toby Wright (Metallica, Alice In Chains, Korn). Also, Billy Gold from Faith No More will be contributing bass to two songs on the album entitled, "Echo of My Scream" and "Super Nova". Other tracks are as follows:
Transgression
Supernova
New Promise (co-written with Mark Morton of Lamb of God)
Empire
540,000 Degrees Fahrenheit
Contagion (which original¹s version was recorded for Rainbow 6)
Fear Factory released the following about the album:
"It's really cool to be writing a new record. We are all feeling very positive
and it's moving quickly since we have overcome some major obstacles. Now we can
work on a fucking great album. 2005 is the year of Transgression for FEAR
FACTORY!
Fans will get to hear some of the new FEAR FACTORY tracks this summer on Dave
Mustaine's GIGANTOUR. Christian Olde Wolbers, who will be slaying fans on the
GIGANTOUR tour this summer with his new JACKSON signature series guitars and
Krankenstein amps, states, "We're really excited about doing a big summer tour -
we haven't done that since we headlined the side stage of the Ozzfest tour in
98. I'm happy to convert the older and young metal fans of the GIGANTOUR. Once
again Dave has put together a slamming summer tour!"

man how come these discussion forums always end in a tennis game of disagreements if u dont like fear factory why the f*** would you comment on a subject about them???plus what do you mean fear factory play their music more aggressively???and how the f*** did you get round to comparing korn with fear factory???they are in different genre catergories!!
if anything korn do because its brainless downtuned singsongs, whereas to play what fear factory do is light years more skilled and intricate,u f***ing 'metal' nerds need to learn to agree to disagree, and listen to different types of music for f***s sake.not saying u ppl dont but im just generalising like how you did with the nu-metal branding thing.by the way i think some ppl have confused what nu metal is,its just natural progression of modern music to suit social and fashion changes, its not a bad thing its just change now go home and listen to ur mettalica albums for the hundredth time................

I personally don't see how anybody can call themselves a fan of music and then go and hate a particular branch of music. I enjoy metal of all forms, and also listen to artists such as Cat Stevens, Tracy Chapman, Eminem, various techno, dance, RnB and hip-hop artists, and some country stuff too. Hell, I even enjoy national anthums and only the old or famous like them ! People need to learn not to limit their tastes so much. Open your ears to everything and anything; it's all good.

They are "high intensity" nu-metal. They play the genre faster, harder and better than most any band that holds the nu-metal flag or tries to cover the nu-metal brand on their skin. Even Slayer have a "nu-metal" album (see "Diabolus in Musica").
FF are nu-metal...albeit nu-metal by way of heavy-industrial, but the nu-metal elements are there and to deny them are to deny any knowledge of metal itself.
