If people enjoy their music, as they evidently do judging by the amount of records they have sold, surely we should respect that opinion? MCR's first album was labeled "emo," but their second album has a more punk root. Their music doesn't even sound similar to emo now (they play electric not acoustic.)

everyone has a right to listen to what they like and love it and praise it....same goes for the reverse, anyone who hates MCR can turn up "Napalm death" 5 times louder and get the police called on themselves....

AFI's image has always been a little silly to me and it's the least original aspect of their persona to boot.....but to each their own...i like the last 4 afi albums but the really good ones are the "Immortal" hehe "All Hallows EP", "Black Sails" and "Art of Drowning" excellent post-punk material, and top shelf musicianship as well....a very accomplished band IMHO.

You know, I did something yesterday that proved I'm from Chicago, I passed up going to a Mudvayne concert to watch the Cubs and the Astros play on tv. Greg Maddux and Roger Clemens are pitching against each other, how rare is this?
Whatever, I'm not really interested in seeing Mudvayne play anyway.

PLACE: Wrigley Field- Game 6 of the NLCS: Marlins @ Cubs.
There were five outs until the Cubs swept the Marlins, which would thus break the Curse of the Billygoat and in doing that, the Cubs would go to the World Series for the first time since 1945!!!
BUT NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! NOT WHAT HAPPENED! How could I believe that they'd actually win and go the World Series? HOW! After 15 years of suffering under the Curse, I thought they had a chance, once again, I was an idiot, with the five outs, the Marlins managed to get what was a foul ball, and Steve Bartman was in the way, so with another chance at the at-bat, they got a single, which then gave the Marlins AN EIGHT RUN EIGTH INNING! THE CUBS WERE NOW DOWN 8-3. And in typical Cubs fashion, they lost.
And they lost the next night, so the Marlins went to the World Series and I'm still mad.

I'll admit, I made Bartman death threats, but I had the best intentions with doing so. Dammit, my team was WINNING! I was on an emotional high when they made it tothe playoffs, apparently you don't realize the extent that being a Cubs fan entails!
Do you know what it's like for a team that hasn't done s**t in at least 20 years go to the playoffs? OMG, it's the best feeling in the world, I felt saddened by the whole thing because there were 5 OUTS!
And after that I felt like crap for about three months. I even got depressed today after Mark Prior gave up a Grand Slam and a three-run homer.
