Famous Last Words Recounts Final Shows From The "Ten Frail Years Of Vanity And Wax" Tour
Following last week's tour diary, Famous Last Words has again checked from the road to let us know all about the last few shows of a just-finished tour alongside Alesana and Oh, Sleeper.
Check out part 2 below, along with some more killer show photos from Justin Conant:
"The 'Ten Frail Years Of Vanity And Wax' tour has officially come to an end. It actually sort of ended over the course of two nights.
"The first 'last show' was at Sidewinder in Austin Texas. The show was killer and we all stormed the stage during Alesana's set as a little end of tour prank/ tradition. Unfortunately Oh, Sleeper and Two O' Clock Courage had to drop off after this show before the tour headed to GA.
"Both bands were made up of amazing dudes and musicians. After the show we all went out to a bar to celebrate and say our goodbyes. It was even more of a celebration because we got our first week sales back that day and found out that our new album, 'The Incubus' charted on Billboard.com.
"The actual last night of the tour was equally as fun. We played The Masquerade in Atlanta Georgia. Not only was it the last show of the tour, but also probably the last time we will play The Masquerade in its old location.
"It was a killer last hoorah though because the kids went absolutely nuts. The energy was unreal and we felt privileged to be sent off by such a great crowd. They were so awesome that we even forgive them for dropping TyTy when he stage dove. After the show, we said our goodbyes to the dudes in Alesana. It was truly a sad day because this really was one of the most fun and relaxed tours we have ever been on.
"Even though the tour is technically over, we are still doing some routing dates back home with Artwork, who was also on the tour package with us. We are in a place that we like to call purgaTOURy. Not quite tour, but still doing the grind on the road. We have a show 10/13 in Johnson City TN at The Hideaway, 10/14 in St. Louis MO at Fubar, and 10/16 in Warren MI at The Ritz.
"We are all excited to get home and see our friends and families but we are all definitely going to miss the people, music, and energy from this tour. But I'm sure the tours and shows will just be getting better and better as time goes on. I want to thank everyone who came out to support us, and we will see you next time!"
