Nile Announce New Bassist

NILE have announced that "due to last-minute rehearsals with 19-year-old bass player Joe Payne, Karl and Dallas have decided that he will in fact be the bass player on the upcoming European dates starting next week," according to a posting on the group's official web site. "NILE and World Management would like to publicly thank Steve Tucker [ex-MORBID ANGEL] who, on the drop of a hat, had offered to fill in if needed. He is indeed a friend and member of our extended family."

As previously reported, bassist Jon Vesano left NILE last month for "personal and business" reasons.

NILE are scheduled to release their new album, "Annihilation of the Wicked", in March/April, to coincide with their support slot on the U.S. KING DIAMOND tour.
