Borknagar Comments On Andreas Hedlund's Absence From Photos And Video

Borknagar has checked in with this statement about Andreas Hedlund (Vintersrog) being absent from the band's recent promo photos and music video:

"As you all saw already we made a video for 'Winter Thrice' and we made sure to grab some photos at the same time. I’ve uploaded them all to the Borknagar Flickr account, and will show some here for you also.

"We started planning the video shoot at Midgard Historical Centre at Borre sometime in September and soon agreed that we had to take the opportunity to get some band pictures in between the video takes. Twitchy Films was our first choice for the video, they also made 'The Earthling' from 'Urd.' We also approached Martine Petra about the pictures and being an old friend she agreed to help us out.

"The original plans also included Andreas and we were all very eager to meet again for laughs and drinks. It was in early October that the message came from Andreas that he was suffering from complications after his ear surgery and the doctor had given him a no-travel order. At this point we were very determined to make a video and decided to go ahead and make the best out of it. To our fortune Kris was able to join the set and with that enabled us to make a proper 'Winter Thrice' video.

"This is the reason Andreas isn’t present on the group shots in the video and neither on the band photos. It’s very unfortunate, but his hearing is of most importance and comes first. All pictures are taken by Martine Petra, the album graphics layout is of course from our brother Marcelo Vasco."

Borknagar's upcoming album - also called "Winter Thrice" - will drop via Century Media Records on January 22nd, 2016.
