Killswitch Engage Singer Sat Out Toronto Show

Band Photo: Killswitch Engage (?)
Killswitch Engage frontman Howard Jones was forced to sit out the band's performance in Toronto on Sunday (01/09) due to a "blown-out" throat (as guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz put it in a public announcement before their set). Trevor Phipps from support act Unearth joined Killswitch Engage on stage for a few songs, despite having little knowledge of the lyrics. Two fans who apparently knew the songs were also pulled from the crowd to help out in the vocal department, with one managing to sing the entire song "When Darkness Falls". But after four tracks, and a tired Phipps, the band called it a night.
Killswitch Engage's set list for the Toronto show on January 9 (without singer Howard Jones!):
01. The End Of Heartache
02. Life To Lifeless
03. When Darkness Falls
04. My Last Serenade

I'm with Muffy on this one, surprising as it may sound, but they should've gotten a stand in for a full show or cancelled the show outright. 4 songs? Nuh, unless they're going to make it up to those fans in some other way I give KsE an 'F' for effort, 4 songs is just not good enough.
Just another piece of evidence to add to the 'KsE suck ass' pile...

I don't care how many song Killswitch play as long as I saw them live, And I did, Even with out Howard Jones, they still kicked the f***ing sh** out of Slipknot, Unearth had an amazing set too, I'm just gald I got to see two of the greatest metal bands in the world today.

KSE have more instrumental and vocal skills (both singers) than many-many-many bands of this or anyother genre. Im not saying ALL, 'cus I can think of other bands that are equal or better. But, considering the sheer number of singing/screaming voice types their singer has to use for each song it's not a surprise really. I't not like LOG where the singer uses one vocal style from one song to the next. Was bold but dumb for the band to even go on stage with an ailing singer.

What the f***, I wait 8 months for killswitch to come back to Toronto, listen to the end of heartache religiously for those 8 months. I paid 50 bucks to see them, not slipknot, and was FUKIN RIPPED OFF. Kill switch could have at least notified us before the show went on, so that the people who went to see killswitch could get our fukin money back., sorry rotundo, killswitch with unearth's frontman did not kick sh**. they fukin sucked, haven't been able to get myself to listen to their cd again -- with time. It hurt so bad it almost made me cry!!!!!! who said there ain't no metal fans in canada!? f*** you!
