Alissa White-Gluz Comments On Staying Healthy While Living The Touring Lifestyle

Revolver Magazine recently unveiled the January 2015 "Metal Health" issue, featuring fitness secrets heavy metal stars - including Alissa White-Gluz, front-woman of Arch Enemy.

Available on newsstands now, this special issue sees Alissa on the cover alongside Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein.

In the world of heavy music, fitness is the new debauchery; more rockers are forgoing drugs, drinks, and STDs to work out and eat right. As an animal rights activist and vegan, Alissa follows a rigorous diet and healthy lifestyle, sans drugs and alcohol.

Alissa comments: "Touring is so rough on the body and mind that I'm always happy to see people on tour taking care of themselves. If everyone knew how health conscious most rockers are, the whole 'drugs and rock n' roll' stereotype would be shattered. To be able to maintain a rigorous touring schedule like we do in Arch Enemy, we all need our bodies to be healthy-- we are like athletes! I have enormous respect for anyone giving their all in mind, body and art every night!"
