Outrun The Sunlight To Release New Album "Terrapin"
Rogue Records America is pleased to announce that Chicago prog metal outfit Outrun The Sunlight will release second full-length album "Terrapin" on December 16th, 2014. The label comments:
"Outrun The Sunlight transports the listener through an instrumental progressive metal blend that combines heavy instrumentals with elements of jazz, post-rock, ambience, and orchestral music, to form emotional and epic songs.
"Terrapin is a monumental release for Outrun The Sunlight as it features a full five-piece incarnation of the band, which is a considerable change from their original duo-oriented line-up. With these new line-up additions comes a growth in the band’s already full and layered sound – adding even more depth to the structure of the songs and a much more 'live' finished sound."
"Terrapin" will be available in limited edition colored vinyl and limited edition Digipak CD as well as digital download. To pre-order, visit the "Terrapin" Indiegogo page here (the vinyl is only available via this Indiegogo pre-order).
“The campaign was a way to help keep the band in the black with both Rogue and for the guys in the band as a working business,” says Dean Martinetti, owner of Rogue Records America the bands publisher. “It’s a first for us, and if it’s successful I’d love to try it with our other bands. We want to support our artists while keeping the costs on them low, so they can get returns faster (royalties) and get more royalties for longer periods of time.”
The first single and video for "Terrapin" will be "The Pace of Glaciers," which will debut before the album’s release, and the full album will be streamed in its entirety a week before its street date.
