Accept will release new album "Blind Rage" on August 15th via Nuclear Blast Records.
The influential group's 14th studio album was produced by audio engineer Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Napalm Death, Opeth) and is the follow-up to 2012's "Stalingrad" (reviewed here).
The first single from the album, titled "Stampede," will precede the full-length release on July 11th, available digitally and as a limited vinyl edition. The band also recently filmed a video for "Stampede," which will make its online premiere this summer.
"Whatever we do on record, it's there for eternity," says Accept guitarist Wolf Hoffmann. "If you do something great it's not something people throw away tomorrow. Songs we wrote 30 years ago are still loved by fans today. That teaches you to be careful with what you release and make sure you like it yourself. With Blind Rage, we have a collection of songs with the classic Accept feel, and -- as always -- there's an overriding theme of aggression and rage in our music. Otherwise, it wouldn't be metal."
Accept will promote Blind Rage with a European headlining tour, which will kick off on September 19th in Copenhagen, Denmark. Just prior to the Euro tour launch, the band will perform a series of exclusive U.S. live performances including shows in Las Vegas (Sept. 13) and NYC (Sept. 14) as well as a show at the historic Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, CA (Sept. 12) where Accept will be joined by special guests Metal Church and Raven. The just-announced Blind Rage celebratory gigs are as follows:
September 11 Solana Beach, CA Belly Up Tavern (w/ Metal Church)
September 12 Beverly Hills, CA Saban Theatre (w/ Metal Church, Raven
September 13 Las Vegas, NV Count's Vamp'd (ACCEPT only)
September 14 New York, NY Gramercy Theatre (w/ Raven)
