More Details On New Steel Prophet Album "Omniscient" Revealed

California's Steel Prophet revealed more details about the upcoming new release of "Omniscient," the first new studio album in 10 years. The album drops on July 8th via Cruz del Sur Records and sees the band returning to the classic sound led by Steve Kachinsky Blakmoor (guitarist and founding member) and by veteran metal singer Rick Mythiasin. The recording lineup is completed by Vince Dennis (bass), Chris Schleyer (guitar), and Jimmy Schultz (drums); after the recording original drummer John Tarascio, and guitarist John Paget returned to the band together.

12 of the tracks off "Omniscient" are based on an original story written by Kachinsky. The idea of telling a story throughout a whole album is similar to the band's 1999 classic "Dark Hallucinations," which was based on the famous book “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury. German Artist Timo Würz was hired to create the cover artwork and the 12 original illustrations in the CD booklet that go along with the story. The album also contains a bonus track, a cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which was successfully presented by the band at the 2013 edition of the Keep It True Festival in Germany.

"Omniscient" will be released in limited edition 36-page digibook, regular compact disc, limited gate-fold double LP and digital download. The track listing is:

1. Chariots of the Gods
2. The Tree of Knowledge
3. When I Remake the World (A Key Flaw)
