Gross Misconduct Splits With Bassist, Writing New Album

Canadian outfit Gross Misconduct has issued the following announcement about parting ways with bassist Brent Mackenzie and writing a new album:

"It’s been awhile since any meaningful update, so without further ado… First the bad news — Brent is no longer playing bass with us. He’s taking some time away from music to focus on other aspects of his life, and although we respect his decision, we also hope he changes his mind…

"Now the good news — we are still a band! Although we haven’t played live since that rad At the Gates show last summer, we are most definitely still jamming all the time, and the writing of our third album is almost complete.

"We really like where it’s going and our writing/playing chops have never been better ... despite our old age.

"We don’t have an ETA on when we’ll have a new bass player or when we’re going to hit the stage again. But worry not. We haven’t gone anywhere, and we don’t plan on it any time soon."
