Labyrinthe Streaming Full "Relentless Misery" Album
Labyrinthe is currently streaming the full "Relentless Misery" album online, which can be heard in the player below. The band also comments:
"First of all, the writing of this album began during the last two tours we were on in early 2013 (some of you may have even heard very early versions of 'The Sound of A Child Drowning' if you came out). Over the past year and a half, Chris, Keating, and I would pretty much just burn down and grind these riffs at my place in Asheville. Hot days, cold days (really cold days), a LOT of Little Ceaser's Pizza #littleceasars, a lot of different experiences and changes happened for all of us over that time, but all the while, we all knew exactly what we wanted to bring with this album. 'Relentless Misery.'
"The whole meaning really boils down to life being a consequence from death because you don't choose to be born, then you live your whole life fearing your inevitable death. Life, in turn, becomes torture. Much of the imagery to be evoked are scenes of wanton torture and psychological dement among scapes of extreme loneliness and hopelessness.
"Huge thanks to everybody who supports us, all our friends and people we haven't met yet. We try to play music we personally like and even if it's just a 'nice stuff, dude,' that means so much because this is truly something we love wholly. Thanks to Justin for fulfilling our vocalist spot and hammering it out despite being the busiest person alive. Big thanks to our dude Keating for sacrificing so much money, time, and effort to really step up and assume engineering and mixing duties to make sure this album happened. We've all wanted this so badly for so long and it's finally happening! Get fucking faded and blast this shit when you hear it! Hope y'all love it!"
