King Conquer has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with two members and bringing on new recruits:
"Chris and James no longer want to be apart of King Conquer. Adam, Derick, and myself (John) aren't going anywhere.
"We've been prepared for this, and saw it coming. Being the primary songwriter of KC you'll still get the same hard hitting heaviness you expect from the band plus more.
"We're happy to welcome a few new faces to King Conquer. Ryley Dipaola will be jumping on drums, Bryan Long is the new front-man, and Jesse Kirkbride will be an additional guitar player.
"Jesse's filled in for us on bass several times. We've been friends for years, and couldn't be more happy to move on with them. If you're familiar with 'Dealey Plaza' at all you might recognize these guys."
King Conquer has checked in with the following announcement about recruiting temporary members for upcoming tour dates:
"Hey guys, we are very sorry to announce that 3 of our members - Adam Whited, Chris Whited, and James Mislow - will not be able to do this tour because of personal/financial problems.
"We are very sad to not have them come out on this one, and we know they are very sad to not be able to attend. With that being said, we are going to have people filling these spots for just THIS tour...
Ryan Gardner from Rose Funeral - Vocals
Jesse Kirkbride from Dealey Plaza - Bass
(Longtime friend) Nate Smith - Drums
"We know this may come as a surprise to many of you and completely understand why. The members filling in have worked very hard to bring the King Conquer fans the best show possible with the situation given.
"We apologize to anyone who is a personal fan of these members, they WILL be back out on tour with us, just not this tour. Thank you for the continued support! We can't wait to see you all in August/September!"
King Conquer has checked in with the following statement about the release of the band's new album "1776" being pushed back:
"Yes, we know you are pissed off our new album got pushed back. This has been a very long awaited release and we aren't happy about it either. BUT, it is coming out digitally on July 16th and we will have the physical release date shortly. Also, if you pre-ordered it already, we are waiting to see if you can get a download of the album on July 16th.
"So please, all we ask from you is to hang tight. You think you're pissed off? Imagine how we feel. We have non stopped toured for years now. We have been busting our asses and been doing this. So all we ask is that you have our backs and believe in us. This album is coming out. Don't worry.
"We will also have new tour dates for August/September coming hopefully within the next week. We are not slowing down. We are not going to disappoint you." More...
King Conquer has posted the following announcement online about canceling tonight's show due to vehicle problems:
"We're sorry to everyone in Oklahoma City, OK but we are not going to be able to make it to the show today. We got to a shop, they called around to find a used transmission for us and couldn't find one.
"We are currently going to few used car dealerships to find a used van to buy. Let's hope we find one because we don't have much money to drop on one right now.
"We suggest that everyone still goes to the show tonight at The Conservatory with The Last Ten Seconds of Life, Sworn In, & Adaliah. Don't miss this show. These bands kill it every night.
"We will make it up to you Oklahoma, don't worry. We have a lot of other touring plans this year and we will be coming back." More...
King Conquer has released a lyric video for the track "A Day Late… and A Dollar Short," which will appear on the band's upcoming new album "1776." The lyric video can be seen below or over at the band's Facebook profile.
Speaking on the track, guitarist John Byrd commented: "The title of the track explains the theme of the song. The message is our economy isn't broken, it's fixed, and as the average citizen you're always held down by the elitists that are robbing our country blind, and collapsing this great country."
Produced by Charlie Wall (Betraying The Martyrs, Abiotic), "1776" is the follow up to 2010's "America's Most Haunted." Expanding on the meaning behind the title of the album, Byrd stated "We chose to title the album '1776' for a few reasons. First, all of our members believe we need to restore our republic that's been destroyed." Adding, "Second, I believe our band had a fresh new start with this record, as did the colonies in that year. Our writing process has improved on every aspect and we're attacking this industry with full force. We're sick of the diluted metal scene and how it's over saturated with gimmicks and choreographed stage moves. People need something authentic and real, we hope to provide them with that."
The "1776" album is set to hit stores and digital retailers this spring through Mediaskare Records. King Conquer will headlining the "Eat Your Heart Out Tour," which begins on February 1st, with support from The Last Ten Seconds of Life, Adaliah, and Sworn In.
