Bury Your Dead Guitarist To Continue Touring

Boston-based hardcore/metal band BURY YOUR DEAD has issued the following statement:

"On Saturday night, February 16th, BURY YOUR DEAD guitarist Eric Ellis was a victim of a random attack by six individuals following the band's set at The Rave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Eric was held at gunpoint while the men hit him multiple times with a baseball bat and hammer. Previous reports of a robbery are false, as the Milwaukee police department has classified it as a 'gang initiation.' Despite suffering what others would consider serious injuries, Eric and the rest of BURY YOUR DEAD will move forward and continue with their tour alongside HELLYEAH and take that into their headlining run with EMMURE, THE WARRIORS, and WITH BLOOD COMES CLEANSING."

Added the band: "It will take more than this to stop BURY YOUR DEAD. We'll see you soon."

Never ones to dwell on the past, Boston natives BURY YOUR DEAD are forging ahead to the future with new vocalist Myke Terry (formerly of CASSIUS) in tow. Suicide Silence To Support Behemoth On Tour

Century Media Records Germany reports:

SUICIDE SILENCE has just secured the direct support slot on the upcoming BEHEMOTH tour in February before they will come back with PARKWAY DRIVE and BURY YOUR DEAD in April/May.

Those diverse packages already show that Suicide Silence adheres to no preconceived notions and refuses to be pigeonholed into any specific genre. Their music clearly represents their many influences, incorporating a savage mix of death metal, grindcore, black metal, hardcore and doom elements into each track. The songs are dynamic and crushing, shifting effortlessly from insane grind chaos into surgically precise, disorienting time signatures topped off with snail-paced grooves and destructive breakdowns. Check out songs from The Cleansing at: http://www.myspace.com/suicidesilence

Suicide Silence’s album The Cleansing will finally hit Europe on February 18th and the UK on March 31st. It will come with the exclusive European bonus track 'A Dead Current' as well as a CD enhancement offering 6 live clips from US and UK.

Upon the US release of the album Suicide Silence made a huge statement to the metal world by entering the US Billboard Top 200 chart at #94, which marks the highest debut ever for a new Century Media artist.

Bury Your Dead Announces New Singer and Bassist

Bury Your Dead has officially confirmed the status of former Cassius vocalist Myke Terry as their permanent singer and Bubble on bass. Here's a statement from the band:

"We know there's been a lot of confusion about the current status of our singer so we figured we'd take the time to fill everyone in on what's been going on. The band has faced many hurdles and gone through a few lineup changes but we would like to announce that Myke Terry, former vocalist of Cassius from Richmond, Virginia, will be taking the helm as our new, permanent vocalist. It's been a long 2 years since we were down here in Florida recording the last record and a lot has happened that could have broken up a lot of bands... and was close to breaking us up. But we found Myke Terry to step up and take over on vocals for us. We have also permanently added Bubble on bass.

"This new record is the best thing we have ever done collectively as a band. Everyone has been thinking about this since we put the last one out. We've gone through a lot. We've lost and gained a singer and all of these things have helped shape this record and make us stronger than ever. Bury Your Dead is coming back with a vengeance and with a new front man. All the pieces to the puzzle are now complete and we can't wait for everyone to hear what we have created in the studio and get back to riff gigging as soon as possible."

For his part, Terry had the following to say:

"You know, they say that some opportunities only come once in a lifetime... well, even rarer than that, an opportunity as this comes around twice. With that being said, after being offered this position not once, but twice, I decided it was probably in my best interest to give it a shot. And I feel that I've made the right choice by 100%. I am beyond honored to perform every night with a group of guys I've looked up to and been friends with for such a long time. They are dedicated, hard workers and I am looking forward to seeing where this chapter in my life will lead me."

Bury Your Dead parted ways with vocalist Michael Crafter (formerly of the the Australian metal band I Killed The Prom Queen) less than two months after he was named the group's new lead singer.

Bury Your Dead Comments On Singer's Departure

Boston metal/hardcore outfit BURY YOUR DEAD has issued a statement regarding the departure of vocalist Michael Crafter (formerly of the the Australian metal band I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN) less than two months after he was named the group's new lead singer.

Commented the band: "With all the recent hurdles BURY YOUR DEAD has faced, we are still forging ahead. Michael Crafter sacrificed a lot to come to the U.S. and help out on this tour, but unfortunately for him he had to go home with short notice. This does not stop or slow us down in any way. We are completing this tour with the vocal contribution of Myke Terry, formerly of the band CASSIUS. We have not, and will not, cancel any shows on the remainder of this tour. These are trying times for BURY YOUR DEAD but we make these changes to further improve the quality and longevity of this band. Thank you everybody for your support. We will see you shortly."

New Bury Your Dead Singer Leaves Band

Lambgoat reports that they received an email stating that Bury Your Dead singer Michael Crafter has left the band. This information has yet to be confirmed, but here's a statement attributed to Crafter:

"Since I got to the USA I knew I had a lot of weight on my shoulders. I wanted to prove myself so much and be a good frontman for BYD. It’s been 2 months since I got to the USA and all I have wanted is to be home with my friends and this stops me from giving my all. I met a lot of great people here. My time with the band was short and was a lot of fun and a great experience. Eric, Bubble, Slim and Mark became my new mates and I'll forever be grateful I was given this chance. This tour has opened my eyes up to a lot of things and being in a band in another country isn’t what I want to do. From practicing and playing shows with BYD will always be a great memory and something I’m glad I gave a shot. But my home is Australia and home is where the heart is. Thanks again."

Bury Your Dead Announce New Singer

Victory Records metalcore titans BURY YOUR DEAD have found a new singer to lead them on their upcoming six-week headlining tour of America, aptly dubbed the "Don't Call It A Comeback" tour. Coming aboard is one of the most popular singers ever to come out of Australia's hardcore scene — Michael Crafter. Crafter previously fronted the Australian metal band I KILLED THE PROM QUEEN as well as mosh-core group CARPATHIAN. Crafter has also staged his own hardcore and metal fest Down Under, called Prepare To Burn, a.k.a. "Crafterfest."

"After weeks of practice and hanging out, we have decided that Crafter is now our new frontman," states drummer Mark Castillo. "He's an amazing dude and put forth a ton of effort to show us he was serious about being apart of BYD. Let the good times roll."

Good times will roll out in full force during BURY YOUR DEAD's imminent headlining tour, which kicks off April 20 in Rochester, NY, and covers 45 dates before ending June 3 in Chicopee, MA. Joining BURY YOUR DEAD on the "Don't Call It A Comeback" tour will be SUICIDE SILENCE, STICK TO YOUR GUNS and SINCE THE FLOOD.
