Brazilian act Of the Archaengel has checked in with the following brief announcement about deciding to officially call it quits:

"Of the Archaengel is all we breathe, sweat and bleed for in the last 10 years of our lives. It's about time for this cycle to reach its end... Thanks to everyone who contributed in some way for this project being a successful one."

Of The Archaengel Announces New Bassist

Brazilian dark metal act Of The Archaengel has announced an addition to the band's line-up. The Sao Paulo group, which released the debut album "The Extraphysicallia" in the first half of this year, has officially recruited new bassist Daniel Rizzo. Of The Archaengel commented:

"Daniel is a longtime friend. We've played together in various bands over the years, most recently in Invisible Order, a side project of metal mine with André Evaristo (now Torture Squad).

"Daniel also has helped technically OF THE ARCHAENGEL on the road for some time, a fact that made him close to other band members. Besides the friendship, he was musically far superior from what we hear of other candidates in the listenings we did, there is no doubt that it was the right guy to follow us going forward. Welcome to the Clan Daniel."

32 Track Compilation Album Available For Free

Metal Media has issued the following announcement about offering a new 32 track compilation album as a free download:

"This August we are celebrating Metal Media's three years of existence! For those who do not know us yet, we are a communication company dedicated to spreading great bands of the Brazilian scene in a professional and honest way, both in Brazil and abroad.

"The way we have to celebrate the anniversary of a 100% Brazilian company is showing a bit of some of the best bands in Brazil's extreme music! And thus was born the 'Brazilian Xtreme Way', intending to show the world once again, the power of the bands from Brazil. The work contains 32 tracks, one from each of the bands that compose the current roster of Metal Media. It is noteworthy that many of these songs are new and some have not even been released.

"Three years of many struggles, some defeats and lots of victories! This is all due to the fans who believe in the Brazilian heavy music, journalists, professionals, zines, magazines, websites, radios, TVs, and especially by the Brazilian bands that always motivated us to go further. Thank you!"

Of The Archaengel Posts "Black Raven" Clip

Brazil's Of The Archaengel has posted a video clip online for the song "Black Raven," which can be viewed below. "Black Raven" is the opening track off "The Extraphysicallia." The nine song album was mastered at The Cutting Room in Sweden, and also features a guest appearance by Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ.

Brazil's Of The Archaengel has now made its debut release "The Extraphysicallia" available worldwide, which was formerly only launched in Europe and Brazil. A new trailer for the album can be viewed below.

"The Extraphysicallia" features a guest spot by Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ as well as artwork by Seth Siro Anton.

Of The Archaengel Announces New Album Release

Of The Archaengel has checked in with the following statement about the band's new album:

"The long awaited album 'The Extraphysicallia' from Of The Archaengel was finally released on European soil, and will soon be available also in Brazil. The material had its mastering in the renowned studio The Cutting Room (Amon Amarth, Opeth, Gorgoroth, Pain, Paradise Lost, Chrome Division, etc.) in Sweden, with 9 songs, one of them involving the guest appearance of Sakis Tolis (ROTTING CHRIST).

“The Extraphysicallia’ is a concept album. Sounds like the soundtrack to a movie where you can hear in every track the evolution of a story, and further details can be perceived at each listening."

Brazilian metallers Of The Archaengel have issued the following update about performing live with Dark Tranquillity on June 13th:

"Hallo! We are pleased to announce to everyone about our first gig of 2010 and it become very special since we are guest of the Swedish masters of Dark Tranquillity! It will take place in June, 13th at the city of Curitiba, PR (400 km far from our base) and will be awesome to perform to an audience with an such exceptional musical taste that is the DT army!"

The Archaengel Pushes Back Album Release Date

Brazilian metallers Of The Archaengel have issued the following update about pushing back the release date of their new album:

"The estimated release date for 'The Extraphysicallia' our debut album on Sleaszy Recs Rider was set to late November / early December 2009. Since then we keep ourselves in silence about a new release date or something since our expectation was that this would happen at 'any time.' Well, more than 2 months passed by and just recently we had receive a new release date from the label together with the justification that the factory responsible for the pressing CD´s is having problems. We decided that we will not disclose this new data again.

"The album will be available soon since we have a deal with this guaranty, and ALL OF YOU will be aware of this. If you are one of the interested on 'The Extraphysicallia' it will be marketed also straightly with us, so don't worry about anything just send-us an email at contact@ofthearchaengel.com and make sure your copy is guaranteed. Brazilian metallers Of The Archaengel are currently finishing the final touches of their first album entitled "The Extraphysicallia," which was recently mastered in The Cutting Room (Amon Amarth, Opeth, Gorgoroth, Pain, Paradise Lost, Chrome Division, etc) studios in Sweden.

The album will feature the following track list:

2. Water Flows Through The Slimy Walls

6. With the Dragon..s Hand
7. The Silence of the Dead Things
8. Consent to the Devilish Fantasies

The band issued the following statement about the album:

"The Extraphysicallia -- which is a conceptual album -- sounds like a movie soundtrack, where you can the story evolution in each track, and new details are in each hearing. Besides of these nine tracks, Of The Archaengel also recorded a cover version for Judas Priest's song 'Beyond the Realms of Death,' which shall be released in a forthcoming edition of this album. The new release date of 'The Extraphysicallia' was not announced yet."
