Decrepitaph Announces New Album Title

Decrepitaph has checked in with the following update about the band's upcoming third full-length album:

"Profane Doctrines Unburied. The third full length album title has been revealed! We went back and forth on titles we had, fan suggestions, and other ideas, and we finally brainstormed for a while and came up with the official title. We hope you guys like it as much as we do!

"The songs have been sent to Damian Herring of Horrendous who will be handling the mixing/mastering of the album. He mixed Conjuring Chaos as well as our splits with Eroded, Offal, Anatomia, and Eternal Solstice. Any bands looking for someone to work with on production of their albums or demos should contact Damian! He does great work, has great prices, and knows how to make your albums sound like what YOU have them pictured sounding like in your head.

"Now for a little info on the new album: 'Profane Doctrines Unburied' will be VERY similar to our older material, but with a few more twists and turns this time around. We recorded the guitars with half the amps we used on 'Condemned Cathedral' and half that we used on 'Beyond The Cursed Tombs' instead of splitting them up like before. So, expect a sound that mixes the rawness of the first album with the heaviness of the second.. and MORE! The drums were recorded the same way as before, but more mics were used this time. For 'Profane Doctrines Unburied' we are looking for a drum sound that mixes the pounding rawness of the first two albums with the slight improvement in clarity as seen on 'Conjuring Chaos'. If you liked our old material, we think you will NOT be disappointed. A few of the song titles to appear on the album are: More...

Decrepitaph Checks In With Band Update

Texas metal act Decrepitaph has checked in with the following update about the band's upcoming activity and new split releases:

"A label has been found for the split with Eternal Solstice. However, this is not a split 7" as originally planned, now it will be a four way split 12" coming out on Godeater Records by the end of the year. The four bands are Decrepitaph (USA), Eternal Solstice (Netherlands), Sinners Burn (Sweden), and Tormented (Sweden). Each band will contribute one new and exclusive track. Eternal Solstice are finishing their track now, and the other three bands have already completed theirs. We will update this more in the future when it gets closer to being released.

"Demons Gate Records will be releasing 'Condemned Cathedral' and 'Beyond The Cursed Tombs' on full color, chrome printed, professional tapes limited to 100 copies each. They should be going to press very soon and we will post an update when they arrive at Ancient Death Metal Headquarters. Expect them in a month or so. We will offer a package deal on both tapes, which will also come with a patch and a sticker as well.

"We are playing two live shows this year. The first one is coming on October 23rd in my hometown of Cooper, TX., and it will be a free show with a few local bands. Nothing big, but come on out if you are in the east Texas area. The other show is The Gathering of Bestial Vengeance Fest in Fort Worth, TX. on November 13th. This looks to be a very cool show with lots of underground Death/Black bands from the Dallas area. This will be our last show for a LONG time so we can focus on recording the next full length for Razorback Records, which should be coming in the late winter/early spring of 2011. More...

Decrepitaph Announces New Split Release

Texas metal act Decrepitaph has issued the following update about releasing a split album with Eternal Solstice:

"We have confirmed a split 7" with the legendary Eternal Solstice from the Netherlands! This will be their first release in over 12 years and we are proud to be a part of it! Our song is already recorded and set to go and they are recording theirs this month. We are talking to some labels for getting it released, but nothing is confirmed yet.

"Split 7" with Offal is coming this month. Split 7" with Eroded should hopefully also be this month. No word on the split with Anatomia but according to the label, progress is being made. We will update more when we know more."

Decrepitaph Uploads New Track

Texas death metal act Decrepitaph is currently streaming a new track online titled "Birth of Hideous Apparitions." The band issued the following update about the song:

"First off, go to our MySpace page to check out a brand new song from the new 'Conjuring Chaos' MCD! Take a listen to 'Birth of Hideous Apparitions' and become possessed by blasphemy once again! We are offering a cool package deal that is similar to what we offered for 'Beyond The Cursed Tombs', but with some different items we've never had before like tapes and patches! This deal is only happening from June 4th to June 19th! We had to up the price on overseas orders because we took a beating last time and we'd prefer not to Lose money on shipping all this! But still, it's a sweet deal and I'm sure our overseas fans can understand having to pay a bit more!

"We would like to let everyone know that once we get to 50 pre-orders, we will be stopping the special sale. We only have 50 shirts and patches for this, so that is as many as we can sell! Just so you know, we sold over 100 of the package deals for 'Beyond The Cursed Tombs', so please act fast if you want one because I really doubt this is going to be available for the full two weeks! Once again, we'd like to thank our small but loyal fan base for continuing to support Decrepitaph in everything we do! We will never compromise what we set out to do and we will never release something that we aren't personally proud to put our name on. More...

Decrepitaph Mixing "Conjuring Chaos" Album

Texas death metallers Decrepitaph have issued the following update about the band's recent activity:

"I am now drumming on the next Father Befouled album. The band is coming here to Texas at the end of this month and we are going to record their new album. I've heard demo/guitar versions of the songs, and I guarantee this album is going to destroy. I am also on a new FB 7" coming out soon on Nuclear War Now! as well. The new FB album will be coming this summer!

"The Decrepitaph - Conjuring Chaos MCD is being mixed right now. We had a slight delay in getting it done, but it is now underway. We chose Damian from Horrendous to mix this MCD for us since we are very impressed with his work and Patrick from Crypticus has his hands full with the new Beyond Hell and Scaremaker albums (that I am also drumming on). Conjuring Chaos will be limited to 500 copies and it will be coming in June on Archasm Releasing.

"We are going to be printing up some new shirts for this MCD, and we will also be offering a special limited time bonus for the first 50 people that order. Now, this won't be as crazy as our Beyond The Cursed Tombs package deal was, but it will still be really cool for the die hard fans. We expect a price around $17 US and $22 World for a CD/Shirt/Bonus deal. That is it for now. Hopefully we'll also have some updates on the three split 7"s we have coming out soon!"

Decrepitaph Enters The Studio

Decrepitaph has issued the following update about entering the recording studio:

"The 'Conjuring Chaos' MCD will be recorded March 29th and 30th. It will be four new songs and a special cover track that is much different than anything we've done before! The running time should be around 20 minutes or so. We have some amazing cover art lined up for this, as well as some contributions from fans for booklet art! There still might be some room left, so contact us ASAP if you'd like to get your art included!

"If all goes as planned, expect to see this put out around early May or so on Archasm Releasing. If you own our split 7" with Father Befouled that they also released, you know to expect top quality from them! Cover art will be posted soon and we hope to have a song from it up around the time it goes to press. Since there's only four (and a cover), we don't want to give it all away too soon!"

This is a very cool label that has put out LP versions of Wombbath and Purtenance. Our song is already completed and Anatomia are finishing up their tracks very soon. We will update more on this soon! Cover art has been found! Thanks! Ok, more news coming!"

Decrepitaph Issues Recording Update

Texas death metallers Decrepitaph have issued the following update about recording a new album and a new song for an upcoming split album:

"We've gotten a few emails asking when things will ship, so here's a quick update.. We got the shirts in last week and they look GREAT! Everyone that ordered them will be pleased with how cool they came out. We also got the stickers in, as well as the 1" logo pins. The bonus CD which is entitled 'Mutant Terrors' has been sent to press and we should have them in less than 2 weeks. The 'Beyond The Cursed Tombs' CD will be going to press in 3-4 days as well.

"So, I would expect everything to ship approx 3 weeks from today. It may be a little more or a little less time, but around there is a safe bet. If I had to guess, everyone will have their package deals by the very beginning of February at the latest! Thanks again to everyone for making this a HUGE success. We never imagined we would get as many orders as we did! This whole package deal is for the fans and we are confident you will be happy with the final product of everything!

"In more news, the split 7" vinyls with OFFAL and ERODED (Ger) appear to be ahead of schedule! It looks like they might be out before the Spring like we originally thought. We are putting the final touches on the OFFAL split right now, and Nev is finishing up a cool cover for it! Expect a total old school throwback layout for this 7" as well as an extra primitive new and exclusive song! We are going to record another new and exclusive song for the ERODED split in 2 weeks. Damian from the great band HORRENDOUS will be handling the mixing for us on it (like he did on the OFFAL split) and we will be recording another raw and filthy track for it! More...

Decrepitaph Issues Band Update

Texas death metallers Decrepitaph have issued the following update about upcoming releases:

"We just finished deleting all the songs in the MySpace player and putting up 8 fresh ones from all our releases. There are 3 tracks up from 'Condemned Cathedral' that have never been in the player before, and 2 of them are by request from people that wrote to us over the past couple months asking for them. There are 3 tracks from 'Ancient Dwellings' demo/promo/unreleased CD, which is one track from the original demo, one track from the Promo 2007, and the Asphyx cover song. Our half of the split 7" with Father Befouled which is called 'Summoned For Sacrifice' is also up, as is the first half of the 'Resurrected and Rotting' vinyl.

"Moving ahead, the mixing for our second album 'Beyond The Cursed Tombs' is COMPLETED, the layout is COMPLETED, and everything is ready to go. There is no release date yet, but expect it sometime early in 2010 on Razorback Records. Many thanks to Patrick from Crypticus for doing an amazing job on the mixing and Ghoat from Father Befouled for making the layout look amazing. Also, special thanks to everyone that contributed art to this release. Unfortunately, we had to cut out a few pieces of art do to space constraints, but we will use everything we got on future releases. More...

Father Befouled Drummer Commits Suicide

Guitarist Justin Stubbs of Father Befouled has issued the following statement about drummer Antichristus taking his own life:

"They say only Death is real, but when you are faced with it, it is always hard to comprehend. Last night I was informed that our drummer, Antichristus, had taken his own life. It is hard to put into words what this means, but I am shocked. AC (we are not revealing his real name - his wishes) was enigmatic and mysterious to all those who knew him, but at the same time he was an amazing friend and one of the most dedicated individuals I, and the rest of the band had ever known.

"His final recorded output with Father Befouled was to be the upcoming 'Rotting Godless Thrones' 7" for Nuclear War Now! Productions. Unfortunately all we have are rough drum rehearsals of the songs, and I am not sure if we can use any of them for the release. I will have to see what can be made usable and make the decision.

"His drumming will also be heard on our 'Profane Grace of the Trinity' split 7" with Cemetery Urn on Relapse Records, due out in January. We recorded this track over a year ago, and it was actually his first efforts for the band. AC was also the drummer for our brothers Prosanctus Inferi. Luckily they recorded their LP for Hell's Headbangers back in August. Not sure of the release, but it will certainly be out soonish. IT will be his finest effort in memorium. More...

Decrepitaph To Stream Sample Track On Hallloween

Texas death metallers Decrepitaph have issued the following update about streaming a sample from their upcoming album "Beyond The Cursed Tombs" on October 31st via their MySpace page:

"On Halloween, from roughly 12pm - 12am EST, we will be streaming HALF of a new track from the upcoming album! The track is called 'Castle of the Doomed' and it is a very good idea of what to expect on the next CD entitled 'Beyond The Cursed Tombs' which is coming on Razorback Records early next year... The final mix production has been approved by the band and Patrick from Crypticus is putting his final touches on the material now. As you will soon see, the production on this album is much thicker and heavier than anything we've done before, and the sound is a lot better WITHOUT BEING TOO POLISHED by any means! Expect us to stay Primitive and Putrid until the grave calls.

"We have the cover art ready, as well as TONS of art from fans that contributed, so we thank you all for that! Ghoat from Father Befouled and Elektrokutioner are currently working on the CD layout as well. Rest assured that if you liked the first album layout/design, this one will be full of even MORE cool art. So again, tune in on Halloween from noon to midnight USA time and check out the first half of the 4th track on the new album!"

Decrepitaph Finishes Recording New Album

Texas death metallers Decrepitaph have issued the following update about finishing the recording of their new album:

"After a couple of small delays, we are proud to announce the second full length Decrepitaph album 'Beyond The Cursed Tombs' is now completed! It is being sent to Patrick Bruss for his mixing/mastering skills and we hope to have a sample song up in a month or so.

"Since we are without a bassist, Sinworm and Elektrokutioner split the bass duties with 4 and 5 tracks done respectively. Also, Elektrokutioner laid down a lot of backing vocals for this album, so expect a different voice in the mix as well. We have uploaded 60+ pictures from the recording session, so go check those out if you are interesting in seeing how the madness gets finished.

"Also, we will have a nice surprise available with the second album orders. We aren't going to say what it is now, but the people that are quick to buy 'Beyond The Cursed Tombs' from either us OR Razorback Records will get something extra for their support. It's a very limited 'collectors item' type of thing, so stay tuned for that as well! Thanks to everyone and we will unveil some surprises soon!"
