Father Befouled Drummer Antichristus Takes His Own Life
Guitarist Justin Stubbs of Father Befouled has issued the following statement about drummer Antichristus taking his own life:
"They say only Death is real, but when you are faced with it, it is always hard to comprehend. Last night I was informed that our drummer, Antichristus, had taken his own life. It is hard to put into words what this means, but I am shocked. AC (we are not revealing his real name - his wishes) was enigmatic and mysterious to all those who knew him, but at the same time he was an amazing friend and one of the most dedicated individuals I, and the rest of the band had ever known.
"His final recorded output with Father Befouled was to be the upcoming 'Rotting Godless Thrones' 7" for Nuclear War Now! Productions. Unfortunately all we have are rough drum rehearsals of the songs, and I am not sure if we can use any of them for the release. I will have to see what can be made usable and make the decision.
"His drumming will also be heard on our 'Profane Grace of the Trinity' split 7" with Cemetery Urn on Relapse Records, due out in January. We recorded this track over a year ago, and it was actually his first efforts for the band. AC was also the drummer for our brothers Prosanctus Inferi. Luckily they recorded their LP for Hell's Headbangers back in August. Not sure of the release, but it will certainly be out soonish. IT will be his finest effort in memorium.
"Lastly, AC also had a solo project entitled UNHOLY DEATH (named for the NME album). I was working with him to release his demo on cassette through Archasm. I, and his family feel it would be, without a doubt, his wish to see this happen. The demo was not finished, but I will release what I have, in it's unfinished entirety.
"We also feel that he would never want his decisions to hinder the progress of Father Befouled, so in that regard, we shall continue. For our future release(s), Decrepitaph's Elektrokutioner will become our drummer for recorded output. Future live performances at this point are not an option. We will eventually make a decision in that regard.
"His talents went beyond his time spent with Father Befouled, and his knowledge and dedication to the occult were immense. He was a truly gifted person, and to be blunt, too much so for this world. May he not rest in peace, but further explore his darkest imaginations now reality."

"he would never want his decisions to hinder the progress of father befowled".......first of all i've never heard of this band......second of all, are they making any progress as a band at all? doesn't seem so......third of all curt cobain already attempted this idea. it worked for him, but i don't see it making father befowled rock legends.

This is a shock to me. Coming from someone who knows the band personally this is a HUGE shock. Luckily I was able to catch, what I now believe to be their final one, hometown show a couple months back. This is a horrible loss.
R.I.P. Antichristus
PS to spiral_architect: Have some respect man. This band is extremely underground and the last thing they, as a band, want is to be rock legends. They play for joy, brutality, and metal NOT for money and fame. AC's death was not a publicity stunt but a tragedy.

Never heard of Father Befouled but I plan on checking them out.
Whatever it was that made this man take his own life, at least he is not suffering anymore. Unfortunately a new pain will be blanketed to those who knew him. I wish his friends and family well; this is very hard to take.
I say R.I.P.

Prolly the same one who is gonna take down your lastest post as well. Just because this is an anonomous site doesn't mean no one is watching inbreds like you.

Spider-Man? Who said anything about Spider-Man? I'm just a photographer for the Daily Bugle. I don't even KNOW Spider-Man. Sure I've taken a few pics of him but I DO NOT KNOW THE DUDE! Get that through your head! Now on the other hand, I DO know Iron Man is Tony Stark and I know him/them personally.

@spiral_architect-- Seriously? Give me a break-- who the f*** commits suicide as a freaking publicity stunt for their band? That hypothesis isn't cynical-- it's moronic.
(@Imnotatroll,yourjustac***.f***you's comment, on the other hand, isn't even worth responding to)

No rest for the a$$holes who are so wrapped up in themselves that they only ever think of themselves when they kill themselves. p***y! Learn to stick it out like the rest of us. No one should feel sorry for you. They should be p***ed off at you for being so self righteous. I hope you enjoy your time as a mailman in hell.

Post 23: News is news whether it's good or bad.
As for the people who think like post 22 over there:
"They tell us that suicide is the greatest piece of cowardice...that suicide is wrong; when it is quite obvious that there is nothing in the world to which every man has a more unassailable title than to his own life and person."

I know this band personally (probably not as well as Valdosta_metal_head, as he's from their hometown and all). This is very sad news. I only met AC a few times, but he really seemed like he was very quiet, and mostly kept to himself...even so, I didn't think he had demons like this on the inside...I guess no one did. My condolences to Ghoat, Ghoul, Kohn, and AC's family.
I'm glad to see hear that both bands are continuing on. Both bands are great.
Unfortunately, I missed that Father Befouled show in Valdosta, but caught them the next night in Nashville.
Some of you people should show some respect, especially if you've never heard of this person...or even the bands he played with.

Kurt cobain didnt commit suicide?....is elvis still alive to or what...
Dont know the band or the guy, thoughts and prayers to his family but for me personally, suicide is the easy way out. Someone who makes that decision is emotionally weak...In life no matter how bad things get you got to weather the storm, get off your azz and make a change, even if you have no friends nor support from your family. I ll never understand how anyone can take their own life, ive never been at that point ever, and i ll never understand why people do it...again thoughts and prayers to his familiy, but someone who checks out like that isnt getting a RIP from me
