Rev Theory is back with fourth studio album, "The Revelation," which is set for a September 9th release. A striking lyric video for the scathing new track “Guns” is available below.
Rich Luzzi (vocals) states: "It's been an amazing experience recording these songs that were written and inspired from within. Julien and Matty did an incredible job producing this album and I am proud to have been able to lend my voice to it. This record takes me back to our very first release when we made music out of sheer love and passion.”
Matty McCloskey (bass) further adds: "This is the first time in our careers that we have been able to create freely. Finally given the chance to fully produce an album ourselves, we were able to capture the true vision that we imagined for Rev Theory since the very beginning. By incorporating our favorite elements from the past three records, we believe we have created the quintessential Rev album.” More...

This new offering is currently slated for an early 2015 release, and be on the lookout for a series of North American tour dates to be announced in the coming weeks. Rev Theory states:
"Born 2 Destroy is the first single off our new album which is coming out in early 2015. It’s now online and all over the airwaves. We’re working on a full North American tour so we can all get in your faces and melt it off. We’re back and we’re bringing the noise...B2D!" More...
Century Media Records founder, Robert Kampf, has announced the formation of new record label, Another Century.
The label will focus on hard rock and has already signed several ew bands to the roster, including Los Angeles rock veterans Rev Theory, New Zealand's rising stars Like A Storm, and Chicago based group The Bloodline. Kampf comments:
"Twenty five years after starting Century Media the excitement to do another version of the label could not be any larger. My undying love for rock has driven the formation of this label Another Century. Over the years great bands like Otherwise and In This Moment have been released on Century Media but sometimes got lost or felt ill mixed among some of the heavier CM bands. Another Century now has a clear path and mission statement: To develop and break the best bands in rock to come!!!"
Otherwise is gearing up to release sophomore album, "Peace At All Costs," on September 16th and currently is having success with the single, "Darker Side of the Moon," which is currently #29 on the U.S. Active Rock charts. The album was produced by David Bottrill (Tool, Muse) and mixed by Jay Ruston (Steel Panther). The band is set to hit the road with Like A Storm next month and will be appearing at Sacramento's Aftershock festival as well as Louisville's Louder Than Life fest.
Rev Theory, formed in 2002, has sold over half a million albums and is currently wrapping up the recording for a new album. The first single, "Born 2 Destroy," is making its way to radio soon.
New Zealand's Like A Storm self-released the EP "Chaos Theory: Part I" and made its way over to the States touring with the likes of Sick Puppies, Shinedown, Alter Bridge and Creed as well as hit several festivals. The band sent the single "Love The Way You Hate Me" to radio and personally called stations to play the track. The song became a hit, soaring up the charts, where it currently is sitting at number 22. The band will have a new full-length out on Another Century on October 28th and is currently on tour now, meeting up with Otherwise next month.
The Bloodline was formed by Shaun Glass (Soil) and features vocalist Travis Neal (Divine Heresy), guitarist Chuck Wepfer, and Frankie Harchut on drums. The Bloodline is currently in the studio recording a debut album.

Rev Theory, whose "Loaded Gun" webisode we premiered yesterday, has also recently released a new webisode that documents the recording of their song "The Fire." The song is featured on the band's forthcoming album "Justice," which hits stores on February 15th. "The whole premise behind 'The Fire' is kind of about a twisted relationship", remarked bassist Matty McCloskey when asked about the meaning of "The Fire."
Lead Guitarist Rikki Lixx talks about the recording process, "We just spent most of the day recording drum tracks for 'The Fire.' We did about 100 takes, but it came out and things are looking good."
Metalunderground.com brings you an exclusive new webisode from modern metal band Rev Theory discussing the track "Loaded Gun." In the clip below, the band takes you into the studio to show you the recording of the song and talk about the meaning behind it. "Loaded Gun" is featured on the band's forthcoming album, "Justice," which will be in-stores on February 15th.
Rich comments on the track: "'Loaded Gun' is a pretty cool song because most times songs talk about wanting to go to the party and 'Loaded Gun' is talking about getting away from from the party.

Interscope artists Rev Theory have partnered with online music gaming platform Jam Legend, which has just left private beta and is now open to the public!
Rev Theory’s song “Hell Yeah” will be available at launch, with current single “Light It Up” debuting next week. Both songs come from Rev Theory’s major label debut "Light It Up," which hit stores earlier this year.
Jam Legend is, according to the press release, "a free, browser-based gaming platform that simulates the thrill of rocking out to a sold out crowd, while enabling features never before available in console games such as Rock Band or Guitar Hero." CNet’s Josh Lowensohn called it “just brilliant,” and that experience is now available to players everywhere.
On the road this winter with Hinder for the Jägermeister Music Tour, Rev Theory has been playing to sold-out crowds and, in their off time, reviewing videogames on their bus for IGN.com with their Gamercast video series.
Rev Theory has streamed live videos of their singles "Light it Up" and "Hell Yeah" performed in Kansas City online. You can watch the videos below. More...
