Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Three Days Grace, and Stone Sour are among the artists confirmed for the first ever Carolina Rebellion, which is set for Saturday, May 7 at Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, NC.
The current lineup for Carolina Rebellion is as follows: Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Three Days Grace, Stone Sour, Seether, Bullet For My Valentine, Theory of a Deadman, Alter Bridge, Hinder, Skillet, Saving Abel, Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, My Darkest Days, Cavo, Rev Theory, Pop Evil, Art Of Dying and more. The festival will feature two main stages for the biggest acts in rock today, both sponsored by Monster Energy.
“Strap yourself in and hold on tight...Godsmack is coming to Carolina Rebellion to kick y'all a new asshole!!” says Sully Erna of Godsmack.
Mark Tremonti of Alter Bridge comments: "We are very much looking forward to performing at the Carolina Rebellion in Charlotte. We are honored to be sharing the stage with many great bands that night and it promises to be a memorable event."
"It seems the Carolinas are in need of a rock festival to call their own and we are honored to unleash the Rebellion to the great rock fans of this area,” says Gary Spivack, co-executive producer of the event for Right Arm Entertainment. “With our partners at AEG we locked into an amazing outdoor venue just minutes from downtown Charlotte. We are so proud of this lineup. From Godsmack to Avenged Sevenfold to Three Days Grace to Stone Sour....it's nonstop...one great band after another."
Joe Litvag, co-executive producer of the event for AEG Live, added, “While we’re excited to be fostering such an incredible lineup of artists, it’s also imperative that we keep the rock fans in mind by delivering a tremendous value with Carolina Rebellion. The credit goes to my partners at Right Arm Entertainment and Allen Corbett, my colleague at AEG Live in the Carolinas, for keeping the vision of an affordable rock experience. To see this caliber of talent for this low of a price is truly amazing!”

..........hahahahah. the expo is not the best spot to hold a concert here, and its the 1st time in the 7 yrs ive lived here to hear of a concert, much less a huge rock festival to be held there! its a place where a huge flea market/swap meet is held as well as the city pool (billiards) tournys. big enough place to have it for sure, but the logistics are going to be under scrutiny from a lot of people. people wise this place can hold thousands. has it own food places, excellent parking, etc., but a rock festival will def. be a new thing for the place. ill wait to see the ticket prices b4 making a decision on this so called "festival".

Take it your not going to this Branded. Holy f***in sh** lineup. You would think they would throw some of that great NC; GA metal talent yall got down there. Kylesa Weedeater etc. Sadly but this thing will probably do well. The majority of people have bad taste in music!

Holy shiit why dont they just throw Hinder in there for that jockrockfratboyfagfest. Reminds me of that cruefest i had to work 2 years for FRG money for my unit I almost died that day. Motley Crue, Drowning Pool, Godsmack and theory of a deadmen worst show in my even the toby keith, trace adkins show i worked last year was better than that shiit.

This Fest is an example of why I could never be a promoter. Theses cats aint stupid. They know this sh** sells tix. They probably can expect 20 to 25 thou 4 this. Plenty of 8 to 12 dollar beer sales to. My fest would include Morbid Angel Obituary Deicide and a sh** ton of old school Swedish Death Metal bands. Entombed Dismember etc my fest would draw 3000 tops

Dream line-ups, huh?
I'd have The Big Four(Metallica is only allowed to play stuff off the first four albums and anything besides Nothing Else Matters on The Black Album), Death, Judas Priest, Pantera, Death Angel, Black Sabbath, Dio, Nuclear Assault(Look up Game Over or Critical Mass, mother fvckers!), Exodus, Testament, Iron Maiden, Sodom and Kreator for the best fvcking metal show to grace the earth.
Also, as a special treat for me, my favorite band(Deftones) would play every single song they've ever recorded and let me hang out with them. But they'd come on last, so no reason for anyone to complain since they can go home before they play.
I'm gonna have to lucid dream this sh*t tonight...

It almost surpasses Ozzfest (even though ozzfest seems to have died) as being the douchiest show of the year!!

Branded your ole lady don't like the kind of music playing at this fest? I've been dragged to some pretty lame shows to keep mine happy Chevelle etc sh** like that. If I take her to something like Summer Slaughter she just bugs me to leave early. Agreed this Carolina thing would be tough to stand through. Coulda mixed in some heavier bands. As is line ups unspectacular to say the least.

BRANDED- I saw this was in Carolina and thought, "Alright for Branded!" then I saw the line-up....what a sh**fest! NO WEEDEATER? WTF?!?!?!?!!?
RTENNEY- Judging by post 7 you would love the LA Rock Festival that I am going to on Saturday. The line-up is Morbid Angel, Obituary, Atheist, Death Angel, Municipal Waste, Immolation, and a half dozen Swedish Death Metal bands. I believe they capped attendance at 3,000 people.

What a hilarious statement...should I go with glass house or pot calling the kettle black in this situation? To begin a f@g insult with OMG...priceless. Way to stir em up B.
I won't be making the drive from Raleigh for this one so I guess I should just GO FVCK MYSELF!!!

Trevor Peres is one of my favorite guitarists. Its all about tone! He gets that mid 80s CFrost early 90s swedish DM tone with his Fender strat! Anyway your a lucky man
