Onslaught Confirmed For Wacken Open Air

Cavalera Conspiracy Confirmed For Graspop 2011

The organizers of Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting festival have announced that Cavalera Conspiracy, the band featuring Sepultura founders Igor and Max Cavalera, have been confirmed for the event. Also added to the bill is Russian folk metal band Arkona. Neither band's performance date has been confirmed as of yet however. The festival takes place in the town of Dessel from June 24th-26th.

Neuraxis To Tour With Sepultura

Brazilian/American thrashers Sepultura will return to North America for a headlining tour next April/May in support of the band's upcoming Nuclear Blast Records debut. Joining them will be Belphegor, Keep of Kalessin, Hate, Neuraxis, and Bonded By Blood. Starting May 23rd, Seattle's Nevermore will replace Belphegor to finish out the tour.

"We are very happy to play once again in the U.S., especially after a long time away from the American and Canadian stages," commented Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser. "We're also excited to start working with our new label, Nuclear Blast. They have a rich history in the heavy music business and we are honored to have such a partner.

"We are currently working on a new record, that will be released together with the American dates, so it will be our first tour for the new album. Hope to see you all at the shows! We will play the whole history of the group and we're going have a blast! See you on the Sepultour 2011!"

Sepultura Announces North American Tour

Brazilian thrash metal legends Sepultura has announced that they will be embarking on a headlining tour across North America next April in support of their forthcoming new studio album, which will be released through Nuclear Blast Records next year. Joining them on the tour will be Belphegor, Keep Of Kalessin, Hate and Bonded By Blood, though as of May 23rd, Belphegor will be replaced by Nevermore.

Cavalera Conspiracy Reveals New Album Details

Cavalera Conspiracy, the band featuring Sepultura founding members Igor and Max Cavalera, as well as Soulfly guitarist Marc Rizzo and Fireball Ministry's, Johnny Chow, announced today that they will release their second album, "Blunt Force Trauma" in March of next year. This will be the follow up to the band's debut album, "Inflikted," which hit the shelves in 2008 and will feature a guest performance from Roger Miret, frontman of the legendary hardcore band, Agnostic Front.

Sepultura Confirmed For Rock In Rio 2011

Two of Brazil's premier metal bands, Sepultura and Angra, have been confirmed for next year's edition of the famous Rock In Rio festival. The event is one of the biggest music festivals in the world and will take place at the end of September – beginning of October 2011 in The City Of Rock in the Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. About 40 million Reals will be invested in this territory of 150 thousand square meters by the prefecture of the city, this sum is already present in the modernization budget of this place for the Olympic Games 2016.
