Killing Joke Added To Hammerfest 4

Hammerfest 2013 has just announced that along with St. Vitus, the festival line-up has just added legendary band Killing Joke. Angel Witch and a veritable who's who of metal will also be appearing at the Hammerfest 4 festival, which will take place on March 14th-16th at Haven Hafan y Môr Holiday Park, Pwllheli, Gwynedd, North Wales. Arthemis Unveils "We Fight" Album Artwork

Italy's Arthemis unveiled the artwork for the band's upcoming LP "We Fight," its seventh release and successor to 2010's "Heroes" release. The album is tentatively scheduled for a June 13, 2012 release through Hydrant Records (Japan). No European or North American release dates have been announced as of yet.

Arthemis Announces New Drummer

Italian power metal band Arthemis announced the band's new drummer Paolo Caridi (Killing Touch) on its official Facebook Page. The announcement reads:

"ARTHEMIS are proud to introduce you to our new a-m-a-z-i-n-g drummer Paul Grinder ( Paolo Caridi )! The new killer line-up will be on stage tonight at “Woodstock Live Club”! Get ready to bang your head Metalheads, ARTHEMIS will be on tour in Spain and UK soon and in between the two legs of the tour the band will hit the recording studio to start recording 11 songs of their brand new face-melting album! We feel so powerful and can’t wait to tour and record with Paul who is such a fantastic musician and above all a brother in METAAAAL!"

Primordial And Xerath Added To Bloodstock 2011

The organisers of Britain's Bloodstock Open Air festival has announced that Irish black metal outfit Primordial and British extreme metal band Xerath have been added to this year's edition of the event. The festival will take place from August 12th-14th in Catton Hall, Derbyshire and will feature this lineup:

Motorhead And W.A.S.P. To Headline Bloodstock

The organisers of Great Britain's Bloodstock Open Air festival has announced that, in addition to black metal icons Immortal headlining the second day of the event, heavy metal veterans W.A.S.P. will be headlining the main stage on the friday, with rock gods Motorhead closing the festivities on the final day of the event. Speaking about the festival, Motorhead frontman Lemmy stated:

"Bloodstock is celebrating 11 years, Motorhead 36 years - Boys and girls, come and see, we will rock your fu**in’ ass’. See you at Bloodstock!"

Italy's Arthemis signs to Scarlet Records

Scarlet Records has announced the signing of Italy's ARTHEMIS, a band which combines the darker side of hard rock with prog/power influences and a modern touch of top-quality heavy/thrash metal. The group's new album, "Black Society", is due in July. A video clip for the song "Angels in Black" will be made available to coincide with the album release.

Since the group's inception in 1994, ARTHEMIS has released four well-received albums and has played shows with such celebrated names such as SLAYER, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, HAMMERFALL, WITHIN TEMPTATION and CRADLE OF FILTH, among others.
