Hideous Divinity Streaming New Song
"Adveniens" is the impending new studio offering from Italian death metal unit Hideous Divinity, which features within its ranks current and former members of Hour Of Penance and Aborted.
Slated for release on April 28th, the follow-up to the "Cobra Verde" long player was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Stefano Morabito's 16th Cellar Studio during the Autumn of 2016 and includes a rendition of Sinister's "Embodiment Of Chaos."
In advance of its release, today new single "Ages Die" is offered up for public consumption. Guitarist Enrico Schettino comments: "This is our all-in choice as first single from 'Adveniens,' our new manifesto, our latest epiphany, the limbo between what has been our previous life and the future that awaits Hideous Divinity -- and bear with us, there's much more to see... and hear. This is the soundtrack to smoking ruins we witness before being carried away, just like the Angelus Novus, just like the Adveniens himself. Experience with us the future of the past."
"The entire album is a reflection on history and time," notes Schettino, "on the succession of futile ages, on the role of the poet as soothsayer and witness of the winds of time erasing each one of these ages from the face of the earth. A reflection on Walter Benjamin predicting the 'adveniens' of David Cronenberg, on Professor O'Blivion predicting an era when 'all of us will have special names.' Adveniens is a violent reflection on art." More...
Hideous Divinity Announces New Album
Italian death metal collective Hideous Divinity, featuring within its ranks current and former members of Hour Of Penance and Aborted, is now preparing to unleash a third full-length album via Unique Leader this spring.
Titled "Adveniens" and scheduled for release on April 28th, the follow-up to the "Cobra Verde" long player was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Stefano Morabito's 16th Cellar Studio during the autumn of 2016 and includes a rendition of Sinister's "Embodiment Of Chaos."
"It may be pretentious to talk about evolution inside our musical genre, this is what 'Adveniens' truly means for us," elaborates guitarist Enrico Schettino. "Just when we believed that with 'Cobra Verde' we reached a point of no return, our songwriting turned even more dark and monumental. Although we'll never consider ourselves close to Lucyfyre, Adversarial, Deathspell Omega, and Akhlys, the influence of this new wave of obscure metal on us these last years has been massive. The result is our most epic death metal effort ever conceived. "
"Stefano Morabito and his 16th Cellar Studios set up a new standard with the production of Adveniens," he continues. "Never before has our sound reached such a level of uncompromising intensity without sounding forced or overproduced. The maniacal efforts made to perfect every single drum beat, vocal line and guitar chord almost caused a nervous breakdown but it truly paid off." More...

Hideous Divinity Releases New Music Video
Hideous Divinity premieres a new music video for "Cobra Verde" today. States the band:
"The surrealistic, soaring visions populating Herzog's 'Cobra Verde' haunted our songwriting like a nightmare, and inspired the concept of our second album. When it was time to think about a videoclip, we found ourselves in front of a fascinating challenge: how to visually render the atmosphere of an entire epic movie in the space of a song. After watching the work of the young and talented Guilherme Henriques Silva, we knew he was the right person for the job.
"Filmed between Roma (in the evocative location of Tor Caldara, where the mighty Ben Hur was shot) and Porto, the videoclip captures the magic and the occult of our African curse made flesh.
The title track, with its dramatic mid tempos and pauses, made the rest. Join us, one more time, in the land where there the dead are more alive than the living. Fear no end, fear no spirit!" More...

Hideous Divinity Posts Bass Playthrough Video
"Cobre Verde" is the latest long player from Italian death metal draftsmen, Hideous Divinity. Released late last month via Unique Leader Records, "Cobre Verde" is a concept record based around Werner Herzog's 1987 film of the same name.
Tracked at 16th Cellar Studios (Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Vomit The Soul), "Cobra Verde" thrusts forth nine smoldering tracks of discontent, revulsion and unrelenting audio deviance and includes a guest vocal appearances by Nile's Dallas Toler-Wade on "The Alonest Of The Alone" as well as a ravenous rendition of Ripping Corpse's "The Last And Only Son."

Hideous Divinity Streaming Album's Title Track
The Italian death metal juggernauts from Hideous Divinity are pleased to unveil the title track off their forthcoming crushing new full-length, "Cobre Verde." Check it out below, thanks to GunShyAssassin.com.
"Cobra Verde" was recorded at 16th Cellar Studios (Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Vomit The Soul) and supplies nine tracks of hate, discontent, and unrelenting audio brutality. Due out October 28th, the disc includes a guest vocal appearance by Nile's Dallas Toler-Wade on "The Alonest Of The Alone" and a searing rendition of Ripping Corpse's "The Last And Only Son."
Elaborates band leader/Hour Of Penance founder Enrico Schettino: "Sometimes a riff takes ages to reveal itself, some other times you're a lucky bastard and the whole song comes out, like magic. 'Cobra Verde' belongs to the second category. Title-tracks are not ordinary songs; when you decide there'll be a title track, you accept the challenge of creating, in the space of a few minutes, something that would represent the mood of an entire album. As for 'Cobra Verde,' it had to be something beyond death metal. For this exact reason it's undeniable I was highly influenced by the latest Ulcerate and Gorguts. It was time to push the envelope for Hideous Divinity and that was the aim of the song.
"The whole composition wavers between storm and calm, nuclear rage assaults and tormented doom litanies. The twisted, samba-like rhythm pattern sees the rebirth of cruel kings and madmen, slave prayers and curses through six minutes of song. Atonal arpeggios create that feeling of rage ready to explode and to be drowned in solitude afterwards. We are alone on this world, so huge yet so narrow, and our thirst is condemned never to be quenched. Like the spirit of Manoel, the white devil condemned to solitude, the ghost that will never see the snow." More...

Hideous Divinity Reveals Album Details
The Italian death metal merchants in Hideous Divinity, who feature within their ranks current and former members of Hour Of Penance and Ghouls, are preparing to unleash their second full-length on October 28th in the U.S. and 31st in Europe.
Titled "Cobra Verde," the offering was recorded at 16th Cellar Studios (House Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Trifixion, Vomit The Soul) in early 2014 and, in keeping with the tradition laid by former debut, "Obeisance Rising," revolves itself around a movie concept.
Comments the band, "Cobra Verde is no ordinary album. We entered Stefano 'Saul' Morabito's 16th Cellar Studios for the second time, knowing we could get the best only going to the best. We pushed Saul and he did the same with us: we struggled, argued, started from scratch numerous times. The result was hard to reach but in the end no one could say anything but, 'THIS is it.'
"Drums and vocals were entirely performed and recorded in the studio, while guitars were pre-recorded and reamped by Saul using a combination of Peavey Triple XXX and Mesa Dual Rectifier. Bass was also pre-recorded and re-amped. Prepare for the slavery of the human heart." More...
