Scale The Summit Cancels Tour
Scale The Summit has cancelled the remainder of their current tour. Here's a statement from guitarist Chris Letchford:
"Due to unsolved van problems this late in the tour we have been forced to drop off our current tour with God Is An Astronaut. We would like to apologize to all of the clubs, promoters, our booking agency, and of course all of our fans that planned on coming to see us play. Its a bummer, being our first tour! We'll be touring again for sure. I think we are going to take this time to get the next album finished for Prosthetic Records.
"It started on the way down from Kansas and got worse. We stopped in OK on our day off and the Machanic shop we went to had no time. We struggled to make it to SXSW and did, and played the hell out of it.
"We are super bummed about this and so sorry to everyone planning on coming out! We will tour again, but it's just not going to happen right now."
Scale The Summit Offer Tour Update
Prosthetic Records issues the following press release:
An update from SCALE THE SUMMIT after the band's first night out on tour: "Last night was the first date of the tour. We played at Emo's in Austin, Texas. Bad ass club, good sound and we all played great. All around good show. Thanks again to Pack Of Wolves for having us, always great playing with them! We'll be back in SXSW in about a week for some more good shredding fun. On our way to Dallas for our day off. Little Rock on Saturday! Until next time..." More...
Scale The Summit Plans Month-Long US Tour
Houston’s SCALE THE SUMMIT have confirmed plans to tour from late this month into late March across the southern and eastern United States, playing with a handful of different bands along the way, including several shows with God Is An Astronaut and an appearance by the instrumental quartet at Austin, Texas’ South By Southwest music festival on March 14.
In the meantime, SCALE THE SUMMIT continues to work on new material for the forthcoming Prosthetic Records debut, which is tentatively scheduled for a late 2008 release. "We're all very excited about working with Prosthetic Records and are looking forward to what we will accomplish together in the future," guitarist Chris Letchford previously stated." We are currently preparing to go out on the road in 2008 in support of our current release 'Monument,' while also showcasing the new material that we have written for our first Prosthetic release. The new songs have really helped us solidify our signature sound, so expect to hear more evolved, face melting instrumental jams from SCALE THE SUMMIT!"
Formed in Los Angeles in 2004, the band has previously released the self-financed full-length, "Monument," which has been receiving positive press worldwide. Songs from "Monument" are available online at the band’s MySpace page.
