The Bled Signs to Rise Records

The Bled recently announced they signed to Rise Records with the following announcement.

"Today we signed a new recording contract with Rise Records. We've been talking with these dudes for awhile now and their passion for music and love for our band is undeniable. Rise is a label that is growing rapidly and is second to none in promotion and we feel lucky to jump on board with people who genuinely care about the growth of the bands they sign. The last year has been difficult for us to say the least, with member losses and money issues plaguing the future of our band. With new members, a new record written and a new label backing us, it definitely feels amazing to get a fresh start.

"A few days ago we entered OG7 studios with world renowned Nando Rivas. Things have been going really well. Very close to finishing up the drum tracks and it sounds Spectacular. We will be posting footage of the recording progress on yourtubes very soon. Check that shit because Josh rips the kit on these new jams.

"Also we are going on tour for the month of September. Check the dates and come hang if we are coming through your city. See ya soon"

The Bled Return To The Studio

The Bled, have entered the studio this week to begin recording their follow-up to their 2005 breakout disc, Found In The Flood. The band is working with producer Brian McTernan (Hot Water Music, Snapcase) at his Baltimore studio, Salad Days. A summer release on Vagrant is planned for the as yet untitled disc.

“We demoed eleven songs and are in the early stages of taking those apart and putting them back together again. Hopefully we’ll be writing a couple more before tracking starts next week,” comments guitarist Jeremy Talley. “Everything is going really well and Brian (McTernan) has been treat to work with. The new songs feel like the better parts of our first two records, mixed with some new ideas and surprises.”

The Bled's Pass The Flask, their debut release compiled with 11 additional tracks, was reissued on Vagrant Records. The original version of Pass The Flask has become a hard-to-find item and the band has previously been unable to sell the disc at their shows. This new version also features some of the bands earliest recordings along with a few more recent original and unreleased tracks.
