The band has posted the following message: "To those of you who still check websites and not just Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, LastFM and everything else that isn't a band's official website, thanks for visiting our dot com. As you may have noticed, we have taken a break from touring to buckle down and get a record written. The writing of our new full length is well along its way. The current intention is to get into the studio sometime in April/May. We will have more extensive updates soon.
"In the meantime, we are briefly taking the show back on the road for a short run with WALLS OF JERICHO. TURMOIL will join up for 3 of the dates. The Red Chord Dismisses Guitarist
The Red Chord has apparently parted ways with guitar player Mike Keller, who sent Lambgoat the following statement:
"A couple days ago I got a call from one of the guys informing me they made a mutual decision to become a four-piece. They offered little in ways of explanation but I can admit that in the past few tours I had grown apart from the rest of the band, both personally and musically. I was always kind of the oddball new guy of the group and was never really made to feel perfectly welcome. Things ended abruptly, unexpectedly, and weirdly but I hold no animosity. I believe I was ready for the next thing anyway.
"The past year and a half has been a great ride full of terrific memories and new friendships. Thanks to all the bands and fans, and anyone else who helped me out along the way.
"I'm not quite done with music yet, so please check out my future endeavors, including my solo project - Meek Is Murder, which I'm the process of turning into an actual band. Word."

Rockstar Mayhem Tour Cancels Sacremento Show
The promoters of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem tour have posted the following message:
"Due to Northern California wild-fires, July 11th (Sacramento) Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Performance Rescheduled to Monday July 14th
"Concerned for the health and safety of our patrons, performers and employees, Live Nation announces a date change for Sacramento's scheduled Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival at The Sleep Train Amphitheater. The air quality and temperature are expected to improve by end of weekend, allowing for the event to be moved to Monday, July 14th and show time will remain 1:30pm. Tickets purchased for Friday, July 11th will be honored.
"As we enter the second week of wild fires, and the recent 100+ degree temperatures, it is in the best interest of all involved that the tour date be rescheduled as conditions are expected to improve over the weekend. A variety of city and county officials have urged area residents to avoid long-term exposure to the outdoors and limit outdoor recreational activities."
"We sincerely regret this unavoidable cancellation and apologize to fans for any disappointment caused," says tour co-founder John Reese. "And while we're thankful that the show can take place on Monday, our thoughts are with the families in this area during this difficult time. Refunds will be available at original point of purchase." Genghis Tron Cancel Shows Due To Van Accident
GENGHIS TRON was in a freak van accident yesterday and, although all passengers are OK, the band’s van and trailer are in need of serious repair forcing the band to cancel their shows in Butler, PA last night and Philadelphia, PA tonight.
Genghis Tron issued the following statement this morning regarding the accident: “"Deja vu. For the second time in Genghis Tron's career we got into a pretty harrowing car accident. Yesterday afternoon while driving on I-71 in Ohio, the rear right wheel of our van decided to jump ship. We spun out across three lanes of busy traffic and landed in a ditch in the median. Somehow we managed to avoid all other cars and luckily no one was injured, but our van and trailer have certainly seen better days.”
“We've set up a paypal donation button on our MySpace page to help us get back on the road in time for next week's tour with Converge. You can also send donations to gtmerch@gmail.com. Every little bit helps... thanks in advance and make sure your tires aren't dickwads like ours! “ More...
