The Shaun Luu Horror Fest is held every year in Syracuse, NY in memory of Shaun Luu. Shaun was part of the Syracuse hardcore/metal/punk and horror/b-movie communities. Shaun passed away three years ago after a long fight with brain cancer. Since then the Shaun Luu Horror Fest has been held each year on, or close to, either Shaun's birthday (June 14th) or the day he passed away (June 11th) and features some of Shaun's favorite movies and music. The fest is a way to keep his memory alive and to raise money for good causes. All proceeds are donated in his name to fight cancer.
