Cephalic Carnage Issue Post Robbery Update
CEPHALIC CARNAGE have issued the following statement:
"We wanted to send out this bulletin to say thank you to all the generous fans that donated their hard earned money to help us out on the road after we were robbed on November 20th in Tulsa, OK. Donations will still be accepted until December 2nd when the tour finishes, at which point we will close out the PayPal account. We truly appreciate every bit, we are very fortunate to have fans like you, you are truly the best, our spirits are up and touring has been amazing. Your donations will definitely help us. We were hoping the police in Tulsa would have some news by now, but nothing as of yet, until then we will try to keep positive and keep grinding. We will not forget those who helped out and we will send you all something to show our gratitude. From the blokes in Cephalic Carnage and OuterLoop Management we very humbly thank you all."

Roadburn Festival Confirm Cephalic Carnage
Denver’s CEPHALIC CARNAGE have been confirmed for the 2008 Roadburn Festival, held the weekend of April 18th in The Netherlands.
CEPHALIC CARNAGE will perform on Saturday, April 19th, during the festival weekend held annually at the 013 Club in Tilburg. The band won’t perform their unusual and uncompromising marijuana-induced grind. Instead, CEPHALIC CARNAGE is going to drone out at Roadburn 2008 playing the entirety of their epic Halls of Amenti, their ultra doom-influenced record from 2002, as part of an entire set of drone and doom. The band will be doing this special set only at Roadburn, performing Halls of Amenti live for only the second time ever. For more information on the Roadburn Festival, please visit www.roadburn.com.
CEPHALIC vocalist Lenzig Von Stroking comments on this special performance: “CEPHALIC CARNAGE is going to drone out with the droniest of the drone at Roadburn 2008, and be a mile high while doing it -playing Halls of Amenti, and plodding through the chaos with visuals that will bring tears, sighs, awes, smiles and joys…or sadness. It will be a complete honor to play such a prestigious event in an amazing country and city. In other words: Our live performance will be like DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN plodding through the La Brea Tar Pits.”
Kruger Comment On Roadburn Confirmation
Swiss rockers KRUGER were recently confirmed for the 13th Roadburn festival in Tilburg, Netherlands. They’ll be sharing the bill with CELTIC FROST as main headliner on Saturday, April 19th, 2008.
Kruger vocalist Reno comments: “We're actually totally, absolutely, excited to play one on Europe's fiercest festivals! I heard so many enthusiastic comments about the atmosphere and spirit of Roadburn that we look forward to hitting the road to Tilburg! Besides, the rest of the bill on our show date could be worse - have look : Swiss godfathers Celtic Frost, ISIS, CULT OF LUNA, CEPHALIC CARNAGE and ELECTRIC WIZARD."
Skeletonwitch To Support Dying Fetus On Tour
Currently out on the road with Municipal Waste and Toxic Holocaust, Ohio-based thrashers SKELETONWITCH have been confirmed as a support to Dying Fetus this fall alongside Demiricous, The Absence and Cephalic Carnage on the tour's second half of dates. The string of dates will keep SKELETONWITCH busy into early December while the band continues out on the road to support the forthcoming Prosthetic Records debut, 'Beyond The Permafrost,' which is due out October 2. Pre-orders are shipping now from Prosthetic Records.com.
Having just completed a string of dates with Nachtmystium, SKELETONWITCH has been hard at work supporting the self-released EP, 'Worship The Witch' and performing material that will appear on 'Beyond The Permafrost.' Featuring artwork from John Baizley (Baroness, Pig Destroyer, Darkest Hour), 'Beyond The Permafrost' was recorded earlier this year with producer Cory Smoot (Municipal Waste, GWAR) and features a handful of brand new SKELETONWITCH songs alongside a few songs that previously appeared on the self-released Skeletonwitch records 'Worship The Witch' and 'At One With The Shadows.'

Summer Festival Slaughters New York City
On July 8th 2007 I went to see the Summer Slaughter Festival at BBkings in New York City. Of the venues in my area that book metal bands, BBkings has been one of my favorites for its amazing sound and size. It is never too loud that I feel like I’m going deaf, but still loud enough that I feel the music and rock out. The venue definitely has great tech guys running the soundboards and lights. With this in mind, I knew that I would get proper enjoyment of the bands and not focus on how much I can't hear a certain instrument or the vocals. I entered without knowing what to expect because I am not a fan of most brutal death metal, but there were a few bands I recognized and wanted to see how they were live, namely, Necrophagist, Beneath the Massacre, and Cephalic Carnage. I really wish I could have seen Arsis, but they had troubles with their van on tour and couldn't make it out. More...
Arsis Drop Off The Summer Slaughter Tour
Guitarist & vocalist James Malone regretfully explains why ARSIS had to drop off the Revolver Magazine-sponsored Summer Slaughter Tour while supporting their latest release, United In Regret:
"Due to circumstances beyond our control, we've been forced to drop off the Summer Slaughter Tour. I do apologize to ALL the fans that missed seeing us. To make a long story short, everything was going great for us until we reached Sacramento, California. After that show, our van began to give us trouble - which surprised us since the van had just been in for repairs twice before the tour even started and we were sure the problem had been fixed. So we took the van in to the nearest dealership, were told the problem could be resolved in 3 days, and decided to wait in Sacramento until the van was fixed. It's now over 2 WEEKS LATER and the van STILL hasn't been repaired. Unfortunately, it's already too late for us to rent a vehicle. We've gone broke paying for hotels. Van rental fees + the cost of gas would have cost us a fortune to catch up to the tour. Please understand that we made the best decision we could with the information we were given. Unfortunately, it turns out we made the wrong decision."
Offers to assist with lodging, gas card gift donation pledges, and general well-wishes for the band can be left at www.myspace.com/ARSIS

Daath Plan Remix of "Dead On The Dance Floor"
DAATH has concocted a cocktail of metal’s most eclectic elements. The band will be releasing an exclusive remix of “Dead on the Dance Floor,” a track from their debut Roadrunner release, The Hinderers, via digital EP this summer. The track was remixed by Danny Lohner, ex-NIN and A Perfect Circle, and is due out in July. Daath guitarist and co-founder Eyal Levi states: “At some point in our lives each member of Daath has done their time with Nine Inch Nail’s music. They are a huge part of our musical upbringing and collaborating with one of their main minds is an honor that we are very excited about.” Describing their sound as “versatile,” Daath stray away from a traditional approach to death metal – weaving deep pockets of groove with electronic nuances, making a remix by Danny Lohner a natural progression for the band.
Having just completed a sold-out UK tour alongside metal juggernauts Unearth, Job For a Cowboy, and Despised Icon, Daath has returned to conquer North America.
Daath will hit the road on June 2nd and will tour through August 30th, showcasing their bombastic live show throughout North America. Their touring journey will begin as part of The Summer Slaughter Tour, featuring a bounty of respected extreme metal acts such as Necrophagist, Decapitated, Cephalic Carnage and Cattle Decapitation. Following Summer Slaughter they will play a string of select dates with Dying Fetus, Psyopus, and Covenance, until launching into this year’s Ozzfest. Daath will dominate the second stage with fellow underground acts such as Nile, 3 Inches of Blood and Chthonic and will be playing select Off-Fest dates with Nile. “This is a breakthrough time for extreme music,” Levi says, “Ozzfest has begun to pick up on the value of underground, truly extreme music. For us it’s not only a great honor, but also a huge opportunity to see how much we can help push the genre.”
