Suicide Silence Announce Album Title

Suicide Silence has set “The Cleansing” as the title to their much-anticipated debut album, which is set for a Sept. 18th release. A devastating new track, "Unanswered," has just been posted on the band's official Myspace Page along with the disc's striking cover art and official track listing.

This scorching new effort was recorded with acclaimed producer John Travis (Static-X), while the renowned Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted) handled mixing duties.

The artwork for “The Cleansing” was handled by the legendary Dave McKean (Mirrormask, Sandman comics) and Mitch Lucker (vocals) states: “From the very beginning, we wanted artwork that would separate ourselves from other bands and add some value to the purchase so fans would be less prone to simply download the record. Dave went above and beyond helping us achieve that as he created an entire layout that exceeded our expectations and further enhanced the album artistically.”

Suicide Silence Completes New Album

Suicide Silence just wrapped up the recording process for their debut full-length, which is set for a summer release via Century Media Records. The new effort was recorded with producer John Travis (Static-X), while Tue Madsen (Himsa, The Haunted) is currently handling the mixing duties.

Mitch Lucker (vocals) states: "Working with John Travis was definitely an amazing experience. He had us track everything live in order in order to capture the intensity we were aiming for. We leave for the Bury Your Dead tour on Thursday, so check out our tour dates and come hang out if you're nearby."

Suicide Silence kicks off a week-long headlining run with Stick To Your Guns on Thursday, leading them directly into a massive U.S. tour as direct support to Bury Your Dead, which kicks off on April 20th. Kataklysm has posted the following message on their official band web site:

"Hello everyone! Well another year, another x-mas... good times for some and for others, just a pain in the ass... But whatever it represents for each one of you, we wish you the best for this holiday season with your loved ones. In 2006, we in Kataklysm have had a great year and it is because of you - the fans. It's not about how much money or how popular you get, it's about each one of you that comes to our shows and understands what's going on and give us that energy. You make this worth every minute. You belong with us and together we will conquer all because as you are our remedy, we are yours, we help each other. Music is the key for survival. Without it, emotions are lost, thoughts are distorted and feelings gone. We create music but you are our inspiration... Cheers to all of you!

"2007 brings forth new challenges for kataklysm and we start with our beloved Europe. We invite all of our fans to come to the kataklysmic devastation in January. We are prepared, join us..."
