Thrice Premiere New Single & Music Video "Gnash"

Thrice have officially unveiled their upcoming studio album, Horizons/West. The California-based post-hardcore group will be releasing the record on October 3rd via Epitaph. As the title suggests, this new album serves as a companion piece to their 2021 release, Horizons/East. The upcoming album's lead single “Gnash,” is now available for streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you below.

The band took a hands-on approach to the creation of Horizons/West, handling production and engineering themselves at New Grass Studios. Mixing and additional production support were provided by Scott Evans.

Thrice‘s album "The Alchemy Index" will get new tenth anniversary coloured vinyl pressings this Friday, November 25th. The band are also celebrating the effort with a special medley on their current tour.

Dischordia Releasing Covers EP

On March 17th, Oklahoma City's Dischordia will be releasing a new EP of covers entitled "Sources" entirely for free through Rogue Records America. The first single from the EP, a crushing re-imagining of Thrice's "All The World is Mad," is streaming below. The full track listing is as follows:

Warped Tour 2009 Line-up and Tour Dates Revealed

The bands (barring special guiests, to be announced) and initial routing for the 2009 Vans Warped Tour have been announced. The popular punk tour, which oftens features a number of hardcore and metalcore acts, is in its 15th year. Some of the notable heavier (relatively speaking, of course) bands on this year's lineup include the likes of Black Tide, Gallows, Chiodos, Saosin, Senses Fail, The Devil Wears Prada, Underoath, and more.

Additionally, this year the tour will feature one main stage in addition to the other stages, and bands will have 40 minutes to play instead of the shorter sets in past years.

Guitar Hero III Adds "Modern Metal" Song Pack

Just a week after it's last update (a batch of No Doubt tunes) Guitar Hero III is getting another song pack. This time, it's the "Modern Metal Track Pack," featuring master tracks of Deftones' "Hole in the Earth," Avenged Sevenfold's "Almost Easy" and Thrice's "The Arsonist." As you've come to expect, the three songs will cost you 500 points ($6.25).

Just in time for St. Patricks Day will be a free three-song pack from from Dropkick Murphys, master tracks of "Famous for Nothing," "(F)lannigan's Ball" and "Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya."

Thrice's "The Alchemy Index: Vols. III & IV" Set

The much anticipated second installment of Thrice's "The Alchemy Index, Vols. III & IV: Earth & Air " will be available April 15th, 2008, via Vagrant Records. On Earth & Air, the band channels a panorama of musical moods and soundscapes, creating a spectral beauty of inspiring sound.

A departure from songwriting tactics used on all prior releases, The Alchemy Index was done in the band’s own studio and engineered by guitarist Teppei Teranishi, without the assistance of an outside producer. “Although we wrote and recorded all 4 discs in the same time period, there was definitely and different approach to each one,” says singer Dustin Kensrue.
