Thrice Premiere New Single & Music Video "Gnash" From Upcoming New Album "Horizons/West"

Thrice have officially unveiled their upcoming studio album, Horizons/West. The California-based post-hardcore group will be releasing the record on October 3rd via Epitaph. As the title suggests, this new album serves as a companion piece to their 2021 release, Horizons/East. The upcoming album's lead single “Gnash,” is now available for streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you below.
The band took a hands-on approach to the creation of Horizons/West, handling production and engineering themselves at New Grass Studios. Mixing and additional production support were provided by Scott Evans.
Vocalist/guitarist Dustin Kensrue described the album by saying, “This is the first time we leaned into something that felt like a direct continuation, like a sequel to a previous album.” He further explained:
“A lot of this record is about parsing reality. We’re constantly being influenced by algorithms, by fear, by our own social echo chambers. ‘Horizons/West‘ tries to pull the curtain back on some of that. We’ve always just followed our curiosity, wherever it leads. We want to keep growing, exploring, and making something that feels honest to who we are right now.”
