Ghoul's "Dungeon Bastards" Hits The Charts

"Dungeon Bastards" is the newest studio recording from the notorious Creepsylvanian hooded menaces in Ghoul.

Released via Tankcrimes on July 29th, the record devoured Billboard Charts upon its first week of release debuting at #11 on the Heatseekers Chart, #13 on the Top Vinyl Albums Chart, #13 on the Hard Rock Chart, and #27 on the Independent Albums Chart.

Not only does "Dungeon Bastards" serve as the first Ghoul record to enter the Billboard Charts, it's also the first-ever charting album of Tankcrimes' extended discography.

Ghoul's Digestor commented: "Instead of noting the obvious and stunning decline of the recording industry, I want to focus on the positive aspects of Ghoul charting. Mainly, that our newfound industry clout will allow us to crush our enemies, humiliate our friends, and generally live lives of consequence-free skullduggery from now until the end of time. Which should be somewhere around the beginning of your American month of November."

Adds Tankcrimes head Scotty Heath, "I'm absolutely thrilled!" More...

Ghoul Streaming "Shred The Dead"

The masked malefactors of Creepsylvania from Ghoul are pleased to contaminate the airwaves with a premiere of "Shred The Dead" from their forthcoming "Dungeon Bastards" opus.

In "Shred The Dead," vocalist Baron Samedi's commands to retrieve the Omicron Bomb fall on deaf ears, as Ghoul retreats deeper into the catacombs muttering half-hearted assurances; that is, until Samedi unleashes an army of revivified corpses to persuade the band otherwise.

Elaborates guitarist Digestor: "'Shred The Dead' is a song about undead fiends, eldritch, mysterious skateboard tricks, and the efficacy of the prevent defense. If Mr. Mustaine is reading this, I'm sure our lawyers can work something out. You seem like a reasonable man." More...

Ghoul Streaming "Wall Of Death"

The notorious cannibalistic Creepsylvanians in Ghoul just released "Wall Of Death." Recorded exclusively for Decibel's Flexi Series, the tune serves as a precursor to a new full-length, set for release in the coming months via Tankcrimes (details forthcoming).

"It is our duty and pleasure to commit to the Decibel Flexi Series this, our greatest achievement ever," proclaims Digestor, doer of deviousness, "'Wall Of Death;' a song that tells a chilling tale of savage dictatorship, brutal oppression, and large-scale unreinforced masonry. Enjoy, won't you?"

In conjunction with the release of their new record, Ghoul will level the stages of seventeen venues supporting Carcass and Crowbar this Summer. The One Foot In The Grave Tour 2016 will commence on July 17th and run through August 8th with additional support provided by Night Demon. More...

Diamond Head Tops Off 70,000 Tons Of Metal 2016

The 2016 installment of 70,000 Tons of Metal will set sail tomorrow. Promoters UMC have declared the event a sell out and announced that the final act added to the bill is legendary UK act Diamond Head.

Metal Underground.com will be on board for the cruise and will provide coverage in the form of daily show reports, photo galleries and a four part video series featuring performance clips and other antics from each day.

70,000 Tons of Metal 2016 will sails from February 4th-8th from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and return to Jamaica with a stop at Falmouth.

The festival will board a new vessel, the second in as many years: The Independence of the Seas (via Royal Caribbean). The ship will accommodate four stages: The Alhambra Theater is a five-story concert hall in which they spare no expense to remove part of the (very comfortable) seating so you have a real Mosh Pit on the High Seas; The more intimate Egyptian themed Pyramid Lounge offers the local club atmosphere; The third indoor stage is in Studio B, the ice skating rink featuring a maritime version of the Arena experience and last but not least their jewel: The Pool Deck stage - The World’s Biggest Open Air Stage Structure to ever sail the Open Seas, surrounded by multiple bars and pools, plenty of room to sunbathe on several decks and even hot tubs incorporated into the Pool Deck stage to soak in while you watch the shows!

The All-Star Jam band, which returned this past January will also be back, led by Annihilator's Jeff Waters and members from the various acts aboard performing cover tunes live.

In addition, the ship will broadcast the upcoming Super Bowl between the Carolina Panthers v. Denver Broncos live on Sunday, February 7, 2016.

If you missed out on this year, be sure to check out information on the event over at 70000tons.com.
