Conjurer Shares "Cracks In The Pyre" Video
Conjurer has unveiled another glimpse of their long-awaited album "Páthos" (1st July, Nuclear Blast) in the form of their new single "Cracks In The Pyre." You can check it out below.
Brady Deeprose (guitars, vocals) comments: "'Cracks' is probably the biggest departure from our previously established sound - the working title was 'Ballad'. For me this is the most affecting track on Páthos, I connect more with it on every listen, and I think it opens up a new element to the band's identity that will be important moving forwards. The video reflects the themes of the track and was captured on the Scottish coast: the breathtaking landscapes evoke the atmosphere the song is trying to capture, and we're blown away by the finished piece."
Conjurer has also announced their Europe and UK headline tour for "Páthos." Tickets onsale from Friday 27th May at 10am BST via atonal.agency. More...
Conjurer Debuts "Rot" Music Video
The future of British metal lies in safe hands with Conjurer, who deliver their breath-taking new single "Rot," taken from their long-awaited new album "Páthos," which will be released 1st July via Nuclear Blast.
"Rot" is a tortured, battered listening experience; a blistering reminder of why the young group has become praised so quickly. That a band can be at once so triumphantly beautiful and gut-punchingly heavy is testament to Conjurer’s quality, and a sure-fire sign of their future longevity at the top of Britain’s heavy music scene.
The band comment: "'Rot' looks at the same topics of anxiety, fear, and depression that feature in 'It Dwells' and flips the perspective/narrative. We wanted to hone in on the most visceral and disgusting parts of our sound when we were writing it and, along with the lyrics, play with the idea of giving that fear and dread a voice. (It's not very nice.)" More...
Conjurer Reveals New Album Details
The future of British metal lies in safe hands with Conjurer, who today have announced their long-awaited new album "Páthos," which will be released 1st July via Nuclear Blast.
Conjurer continue their journey as the country’s most exciting young metal band with the incredible new album. Celebrating the news, the Midlands quartet have also streamed the first single from Páthos, the mighty "It Dwells." You can check out the music video below.
A triumphant return from Conjurer following their world-renowned 2018 debut "Mire," "Páthos" is a band flexing their creative muscles, deepening their approach and thought, and expanding their sound.
Bassist Conor Marshall comments: "Excited to finally be able to share the album with everyone! I’m sure this is the same for every band trying to release an album during the pandemic but it feels like we’ve been holding on to it for so long, so it’s nice for it to not be my problem any more and to be able to actually talk about it!"
Opener "It Dwells" is the perfect introduction – earth-shatteringly heavy, unconventional, uniquely beautiful, and instantly recognisable as Conjurer. The track is centred on the contradictions of the emotion of fear – that fear can be comfortable and constant, haunting and crushing. It builds to a point of breaking – the need to end fear battling against your will to go on. The repeated screams "I’ll have peace" are an ambivalent declaration of defiance – give in, or fight, either way fear is gone.
Of the single, guitarist/vocalist Dan Nightingale states: "I think 'It Dwells' is a good introduction to the sound of the record, from the musical influences to the lyrics and how we’ve drawn from what’s been going on in our lives, it’s one of our most personal outings for sure. It’s nice to have been able to step up our game with the music videos for this album as well. Good album. Top track. Boss man." More...

In anticipation of huge things to come in 2022, Conjurer draw the curtain over a frustrating year for live music by releasing the "Thankless" video. The video features a collage of frenetic live footage recorded at different festival and club shows, as well as some backstage impressions, and gives you a hint of what to expect from Conjurer's eagerly-awaited return to stages in 2022 - including several festival appearances and a tour with French blackened post-metallers Celeste.
Conjurer comment: "We are so thankful to have 'Thankless' back online - this video catalogues a band starting to come into their own, our first time playing festivals without being the ‘unknown up and comers’. Captured as always by our main man Joe Guppy." More...
Conjurer Signs With Nuclear Blast
The future of British metal lies in safe hands with Conjurer, who continue their journey as the country’s most exciting young metal band with their signing to Nuclear Blast worldwide.
The UK heavyweights will release their still untitled second full-length later this year, the successor to their critically acclaimed 2018 debut LP, "Mire."
Conjurer's Brady Deeprose (guitar & vocals) comments:
"Conjurer are extremely excited to partner with Nuclear Blast worldwide for the forthcoming release of our second album. Having spent the last year or so getting to know Monte Conner, we count ourselves lucky to be working with not only a true legend in the world of heavy music, but one who continues to champion exciting, forward-thinking art. We’ve now also been introduced to Barley and the rest of the international team at NB and it’s evident that they understand our mentality and want nothing more than to support and nourish our creativity. In what has been an awful year on so many levels, we are grateful to have found the right home for our music.
"We look forward to working together with NB to bring you our sophomore album in 2021, and much more in the years to follow." More...

Ritual Festival Announces First Bands
The organisers of the British death and doom metal based Rituals Festival has confirmed their first batch of names for the 2017 edition of the event, which will take place on 8th April 2017. Early bird tickets are currently on sale for a mere £25, rising to £30 in the future and can be purchased here. A message from the organisers reads as follows:
"Firstly thanks to all of you that supported Ritual this year. I’m happy to say the festival will be returning to Canal Mills, Leeds in April 2017 with a diverse and unique line-up. We have taken the time to combine some of the UK's newest, as well as established talented acts along with some special and exclusive favourites just for you. We are honoured to have Ihsahn headline the festival but we also can’t wait to reveal many more incredible bands for you over the coming months."
Perhaps the most prominent announcement is that former Emperor frontman Ihsahn will be headlining the festival, where he will be promoting his latest album, "Arktis" and has also hinted that he could debut some new material at the show, stating:
"I am honoured to headline Ritual Festival next year, and I´m looking forward to bringing you a set of Ihsahn past, present and maybe a dash of future as well. See you all there!" More...
