Blow The Scene Hosting PAWS Benefit Show
Next week, Philadelphia-based underground music, arts, and activism webzine Blow The Scene will host its annual benefit show for PAWS -- the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society -- with a wide array of artists set to perform and a wealth of other activities confirmed.
Blow The Scene Presents A Night of Music / Art & Animal Love, set to take place next Friday, July 10th at The Pharmacy in South Philly. Sponsored by Psychics.com, Earsplit PR and Sit & Spin Records, the show will be used to collect donations to aid PAWS and will include live performances from Mother Brain (Long Island grindcore champs), Gut Feeling (North Carolina hardcore act with members of Catharsis, Undying and more), Grin And Bear It (Cleveland powerhouse PV/punk), Dying (Philly XVX hardcore), Die Choking (Philly hyper grinders) and Drones For Queens (Philly shredders).
Additionally, an art show is part of the benefit, where many artists from all over the world are donating art prints that will be on display and for sale at this cash and carry event curated by Ryann Casey. Second Round of Bands Confirmed For MDF 2015
The second round of band have been confirmed for Maryland Deathfest XIII, which takes place in Baltimore, Maryland from May 21-24, 2015.
Refer to the bottom of this list for bands playing at Soundstage. All other bands announced so far will be playing at Edison Lot or Rams Head.
The latest confirmations include:
Sodom (Germany) - Exclusive US appearance!
Demilich (Finland) - Exclusive US appearance!
Napalm Death (UK) - Headlining one of the nights at Soundstage.
Anaal Nathrakh (UK) - Exclusive US appearance!
Primordial (Ireland) - Most likely an exclusive US appearance. If not, MDF will be one of only a few US shows.

OEF America 2014 Line-Up Revealed
The Obscene Extreme Festival America 2014 preliminary line-up has been posted at the All Metalfest site. Below is a list of the bands that will be appearing, ranging from Ratos de Porao, Napalm Death, Dying Fetus and Doom to Vaginal Bear Trap. The 2014 edition of the popular festival will be taking place in Los Angeles from August 29th-31st. Get more information on the event over at the Obscene Extreme official website.
The OEF Europe, held in Trutnov, Czech Republic, has spawned the American, Australian and Asian versions of the event as well. Last year, the American OEF 2013 took place in Valle de Las Monjas, Mexico and featured an act that will be back at this year's edition - Mexican pornogrind band Urtikaria Anal.
