Final Bands Announced for Barge To Hell Cruise
The Barge To Hell is just days away from departure and final band announcements are being made. The cruise sets sail Monday, December 3rd, 2012 from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas and returns on Friday, December 7th, 2012.
Just announced are Novembers Doom, Vital Remains, Brujeria and underground acts Abiotic, Zanthropya Ex, and Dark Sermon. The organizers also report that both the German and Canadian incarnations of Necronomicon will be in attendance.
With the announcement comes some bad news that Six Feet Under has had to cancel their appearance due to a scheduling conflict with their studio and needing to have their new album delivered in time.

Exodus And More Confirmed For Barge To Hell
The organizers of the Barge To Hell cruise have issued the following announcement about confirming Exodus, Seita, Havok, and Necronomicon:

Lock Up, Nachtmystium Confirmed For Barge To Hell
With a month before boarding the Barge to Hell left, the organizers have announced two more bands: metal supergroup Lock Up, featuring Nicholas Barker on drums (ex-Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir), Shane Embury on bass (Napalm Death), Anton Reisenegger on guitar (Criminal), and Tomas Lindberg on vocals (At The Gates, Disfear) and Nachtmystium.
Also announced was the cancellation of BELPHEGOR. Stated the organizers: "We tried our best to work something out, but regrettably must confirm that they won't be part of BARGE TO HELL. We will make sure that we have a suitable replacement."

Municipal Waste Confirmed For Barge To Hell
Municipal Waste is the latest band to be confirmed for the inaugural Barge To Hell heavy metal cruise, following the announcement of Holy Moses earlier this week.
Barge To Hell is a five-day cruise from the organizers of the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise. It departs from Miami, Florida on Monday, December 3rd and stops at Nassau, Bahamas before returning to Miami on Friday, December 7th. Holy Moses Posts New Live Video Clip
Germany's Holy Moses is celebrating the band's 30th anniversary with the new album "30th Anniversary - In the Power Now." Today Holy Moses has released a live video clip with a new line-up.
The clip for the song "SSP" was recorded at this year's Walpurgis Metal Days Festival in Germany and can be viewed below. You can also check out the re-recorded version of the classic song "Def Con II" at this location. The following press release was also issued:
"Holy Moses are giving away the snare skins which have been thrashed by drummer Gerd Lücking throughout the whole recording of 30th Anniversary - In The Power Of Now. Additionally the snare skin has been signed by all HOLY MOSES-members who were involved in the production. "In 2011 Sabina Classen and her HOLY MOSES men secretly locked themselves into the Absurd Studio in Hamburg, Germany to start the recordings for the '30th Anniversary - In The Power Of Now' double album. The new drummer Gerd Lücking (GiftDwarf / ex-Rebellion) took care of the drum tracks on the new record. The album will have new versions of 20 of the most important songs of the 30 years of HOLY MOSES history plus 2 brand new songs.
"The band got together in late summer of 1980 in Aachen, Germany. Legendary German thrashers Holy Moses is streaming a newly re-recorded track "DefCon II" (heard below), which originally appeared on the band's 1989 LP "The New Machine of Liechtenstein." The re-recording appears on the forthcoming release "30th Anniversary: In the Power of Now." The release features mostly re-recorded tracks featuring the band's latest lineup, as well as two new tracks "Entering the Now" and the aforementioned "Borderland." The release date is scheduled for April 23, 2012 through SPV/Steamhammer Records.

Holy Moses Issues Statement To Fans In Russia
Holy Moses has issued the following statement to fans located in Russia and the Ukraine about their touring schedule and unconfirmed tour dates:
"Please only trust dates for tourdates of Holy Moses only on our official site www.holymoses.net and www.holymoses.de and www.myspacecom/holymosesgermany
"We never got signed contracts, flights or Visa’s for Holy Moses shows end of April and beginning of May for Russia and Ukraine. People asking us, why now the 3rd time, Holy Moses shows are cancelled for Russia? But to let you know – we never cancelled shows, which are confirmed with us and we had contracts for.
"Like you all know in Ukraine – we got contracts for Metal Fest In Ukraine and we did a great show. We always need to get confirmed shows 3 month before they will happen, so that we can start the promotion and the members of the band can get free time, to do it.
"But now, last week, we got information, that shows are booked for Russia and Ukraine – but those shows where booked without any contracts between the booking agents. Like we got the news – that in the end of march, the clubs got booked, but without any contracts. This is only four (4) weeks, before the shows should happen.
"We tried to manage it, because we are waiting a long time to come to Russia and back to Ukraine, but this time was too short, to get all members together and we want to present to you the real band – and not Sabina growling on a Mini-Disc Tape. I think you will understand this. More...
Destruction Returns To Sodom Show
German thrash metal legends Destruction will once again be taking part in the tribute show honouring the late Sodom drummer Chris "Witchhunter" Dudek. The show will be headlined by Sodom and include performances from Destruction, Tankard, Assassin, Darkness, Holy Moses, Paradox, The Protectors, Blackfire and Wortmord. A message from Destruction mainman Schmier reads as follows:
"If this phone call would have happened earlier, all this painful confusion would have never taken place. Sodom and Destruction have both been on tour lately, I guess that did lead to a couple of misunderstandings that are all solved now.
"There was never any intention to argue about this event in any case! Tom and myself have a friendship since 25 years. The lack of communication via third parties did lead to some turbulent misinterpreting.
"I would like to point out, that we have moved our North American anniversary tour to play at this event. It was always very important to us. We have confirmed our participation already in late 2008. Holy Moses Reveals New Album Details
German thrashers Holy Moses have announced that the title of their new album will be "Agony of Death". The band also issued the following statement about the album on their website:
The album will be released around 19th, september 2008 worldwide via Wacken Records/SPV. More about the concept and the songs will be explained from front growling girl Sabina Classen in the upcoming days. Right now the band is working behind the walls of the Blue Castle Studio near Hamburg with producer/guitar player Michael Hankel to do the last steps of the production. The first video’s from the production will be online in the a few days.
SPV and Wacken Records Announce Joint Venture
A joint venture of a very special kind promises to bring a fresh breeze to the German metal scene: SPV, the record imprint from Hanover, and Wacken Records have announced their cooperation in the marketing, promotion and worldwide distribution sectors. At the same time, Wacken Records (formerly trading under the name of Armageddon Music) will be incorporated into the SPV system, while remaining an independent company which will benefit from the international contacts and longstanding experience of its new partner. With the support of Wacken Records, SPV will in turn gain access to a wider forum and increase its focus on discovering, supporting and promoting newcomer acts.
SPV is among the most important rock and metal labels worldwide, with top acts such as Whitesnake, Motörhead, Saxon, Iced Earth, Helloween and Type O Negative on its roster. Wacken Records will bring Rose Tattoo, Victory, Onkel Tom Angelripper and Holy Moses, among others, and the extremely promising newcomers Suidakra and Forever Slave into the cooperation. The label also runs the Metaltix merchandising company and the tour promoters, ICS, who are responsible not only for the Wacken Open Air festival, but also for the Wacken Road Show and the Metal Battle tour concept. Holy Moses Announce New Album Title
Long-running German thrashers HOLY MOSES have set "Bloodbound" as the title of their new album, tentatively due in the spring. According to a press release, fans can expect another "blast of old-school thrash with modern elements and the classic HOLY MOSES style," featuring "the queen of growls, Sabina Classen!"
Sabina Classen recently secured a brand-new "fashion deal" with the Finnish clothing company Northern Tribe. According to a press release, "the fashion label for metal clothes and merchandise promises best quality with cool artwork at fair prices. Sabina closed the new deal by presenting one model shirt at the Northern Tribe stall [at] the [Jalometalli festival in Oulu, Finland]. In the future Sabina will present more Northern Tribe fashion on the upcoming HOLY MOSES gigs!"

OBITUARY have tapped comic book stalwart and director Hart D. Fisher to helm the group's new video for the song "Evil Ways". "We're shooting in Florida, and I'm going to take this far further than just a bunch of assholes on stage playing their guitars," says Fisher. "They want to go dark, go mean, and take this all to the horror movie level. There's going to be cameos from a ton of death metal guys also."
"Evil Ways" is the lead single from OBITUARY's new album, "Xecutioner's Return", which was released in North America on August 28 via Candlelight Records. The CD was mixed at Redroom Recorders and was mastered in June at Morrisound Studios in Tampa. The band once again worked with artist Andreas Marschall, who has previously created the art for "The End Complete" and the group's last record, "Frozen in Time".
OBITUARY will team up with long-running German thrashers HOLY MOSES for a European tour in January 2008. Also appearing on the bill are Swedish metallers AVATAR.
Holy Moses Post 'End Of Time' Video Online
Long-running German thrashers HOLY MOSES have posted their video for the song "End of Time" at this location. The clip, which was completed by Roax Films, is the band's first official clip since 1989. The "End of Time" video marks the second time in the history of the band (first time was in 1989, for the "New Machine of Liechtenstein" album) that the band has shot an official clip. Leaves' Eyes To Headline Metal Female Voices Fest
LEAVES' EYES have been confirmed to be the headliner of the Metal Female Voices Fest V, which is due to take place on October 20th, 2007 at Oktoberhallen in Wieze, Belgium. According to the band the theme of their show will be "En Saga i Belgia", and it will be filmed for release on their forthcoming DVD.
Other bands on the bill include: AFTER FOREVER, BATTLELORE, DISTORTED, DRACONIAN, ELIS, EPICA, THE GATHERING, IMPERIA, INTERRIA, SERAPHIM, SIRENIA, THEATRE OF TRAGEDY and VALKYRE.
