Infestuous (TBDM) Debut New Single & Music Video

Infestuous have officially introduced themselves with the release of their debut single, “Palace Of Rot.” The brutal death metal duo is comprised of Alan Cassidy, drummer for melodic death metal mainstays The Black Dahlia Murder, and Matt Tluchowski, vocalist/guitarist of doom metal outfit Doctor Smoke.
Although the project’s roots trace back to 2009, it lay dormant for many years before being revisited in recent times. The duo’s first full release is now scheduled to arrive on April 17 via Silent Pendulum Records under the title Unfathomable Mutagenic Abominations.
A music video for “Palace Of Rot” is now streaming, with the track also featuring guest guitar work from Steve Lehocky (ex-Doctor Smoke, among others).

This new music showcases Brian Eschbach's transition from guitar to delivering vocals and marks the return of guitarist Ryan Knight, who last played with the band on 2015's "Abysmal." Recording sessions for guitars, bass, and vocals for "Servitude" took place at guitarist Brandon Ellis' home studio in New Jersey. The drums were tracked by Mark Lewis in Nashville, where Ellis and Lewis also handled the mixing. The album was mastered by Ted Jensen.

Melodic death metal outfit The Black Dahlia Murder's first new studio full-length since Trevor Strnad's passing in 2022 has been named “Servitude” and is set for release on September 27th via Metal Blade. The band has launched the first single, "Aftermath," from the upcoming album.
Following Strnad’s death, guitarist/vocalist Brian Eschbach transitioned to the lead vocal role, while guitarist Ryan Knight rejoined the band to fill Eschbach’s previous position.
The production of “Servitude” was primarily handled internally, with guitarist/vocalist Brandon Ellis overseeing the sessions at his studio. The drum recordings were conducted under the guidance of producer Mark Lewis (Cannibal Corpse, DevilDriver), who also collaborated with Ellis on mixing the album.

Brutal Assault Unveils 23 Additional Bands

Legendary death metal act Carcass is set to make a triumphant return to the Fortress after a five-year hiatus. Joining them is Cytotoxin, promising an onslaught of toxic and brutal death metal. Death/goregrind force from Belgium Aborted will join the lineup alongside Sweden's Dark Tranquillity, renowned for their signature Gothenburg melodic death metal sound. Vltimas, the apocalypse riders, will complete this imaginary death metal circle.
American band Escuela Grind will bring chaos with their grindcore, followed by Misery Index and Rotten Sound, known for their mixes of death and grind genres. The onslaught will culminate with Pig Destroyer.
Representing the black metal genre are American act Akhlys, underground sensation Yellow Eyes, and folk psychedelic ensemble Hexvessel.
From the gothic scene, the lineup will welcome industrial favorites Deathsars and the post-punk-tinged Unto Others. Finnish melodic outfit Kalmah will arrive from the dark swamps, and heavy-rock-metal band Soil will come from overseas. Cynic, known as "tech metallers," will present a special Focus set in celebration of the re-release of their iconic debut album. Additionally, acts like Master Boot Record, with their 8-bit computer sounds, and the brutally honest post-hardcore group Svalbard will offer their unique musical perspectives.
Prepare for some hardcore action as Madball makes a comeback to Brutal Assault, after six years, promising a lively moshpit. Also making their debut at BA are established bands like Cancer Bats, Show Me The Body known for their innovative musical identity, and This Is Hell, recognized for their intense and energetic live performances in the metal punk scene.

Carcass To Tour Australia With Black Dahlia Murder
British death metal legends Carcass has announced that they will be heading south of the equator next year for a tour of Australia and New Zealand. Joining them on the trek will be Michigan death metallers The Black Dahlia Murder. A statement from Carcass reads as follows:
"A statement from Carcass reads: "You asked for it! We made it happen! We are finally coming back down under in 2024 with The Black Dahlia Murder! It’s gonna be a goodun."

The historic Czech Republic based metal festival recently announced several new bands for its 2024's edition to include Broken Hope, The Black Dahlia Murder, Kampfar, Skeletal Remains and many more.
Brutal Assault will take place August 7-10, 2024 at Fortress Josefov, Czech Republic.
